I like this place but tonight's order was a disappointment. Ordered Hainan Chicken ... big mistake. Chicken was tasteless, tough like rope, and dry. Spent more time chewing than anything. This should NOT be on the menu. Rice was ok. Stick with curries and items cooked in a sauce. Definitely not their specialty. The place is fast though:)

Always order steamed dumplings to start, then bbq chicken with spicy dip. Sweet & sour. Brown rice. All yummy.

I used to have Friday dinner there after a week's hard work. Their food is good. Their environment is quite with great services. I was able to unwind and relax. The restaurant closed due to COVID. I am so glad they reopene.

Outstanding food. The service was respectful. I ordered take-out. It was ready and still hot when I got there. They are always very polite and generous with servings!

Good but way overpriced! Only ordered 4 items and it was 70$ Portions are also small. I think they over charge due to there location

Back in Oct 2023 on a Sunday, I was in Pasadena for my fitness exercise session and some pickleball play. Afterwards, I was very hungry. I said to myself what new restaurant should I try today. I thought about my Yelpie friend who normally dine in Pasadena. Thank you my Yelpie friend... you know who you are. Pho On California popped up in my head. So I went... when I arrived, they were closed on Sunday. I was so bummed. I walked around the plaza and saw a Thai restaurant called Suriya Thai. Of course I had to Yelp it to see how many stars and what kind of reviews they have... 4 stars... not bad. So I gave them a try... OMG... I am so glad I walked through them doors. Best Pad Woon Sen with seafood that I have ever eaten!!! Tons of seafood and they were huge in size. It was so very good with amazing wok flavor. Shrimps, mussels, squids, veggies, glass noodles, and everything else were delish! I am salivating right now as I'm typing this review LOL. I also ordered the Yellow Curry Chicken... this was good, too. Lots of chicken and curry was yummy. Thai Ice Tea was tasty... light in thai tea flavor and not too sweet, just right. My Thai lunch meal was just devine! Staff was pleasant and nice... very attentive. Interior was warm and welcoming. Prices were average. Parking is plenty. I will definitely be back here for more great tasting Thai foods probably via take-out though. Till we meet again... stay delicious!

I enjoy this place; it's a hidden gem, in my opinion. I get the chicken satay here, and I genuinely haven't enjoyed chicken satay at any other Thai place. The curries are pretty solid, as well. I wish the vegetable fried rice didn't have tofu in it, and had a bit more rice, but other than that, it's alright- wouldn't be my first choice here. The people who work there are amiable, and we tip well, so that might add to the positive experience. It's a pretty chill atmosphere, so eating in isn't bad; I generally order takeout, though, but it seems like a decent spot to have dinner or something like that.

Nestled in a Pasadena strip mall, you'll discover the charming Suriya Thai.Acting on my sister's recommendation, we decided to have lunch here. It's become her regular haunt, and she unfailingly orders their pumpkin curry . The fact that it was a lunch special only sweetened the deal. I opted for the pad kee mao, although regrettably, it's not featured in the lunch specials. Nonetheless, it remains my favorite and was delicious. The interior is simple and cozy. I must extend commendation to our server, see photo. I didn't manage to catch her name, but she was so nice assisting us on both occasions. She not only recognized my sister but also remembered her order and preferred drink. I was impressed when she refilled my sister's iced tea no less than five times. Not once did she raise an eyebrow - a testament to truly exceptional service. If you're a fan of Thai food like me, I'd definitely recommend giving Suriya Thai a try."

Love the food here and the service. They messed up my order but not only did the lady fix it but she gave me a free drink. Very sweet lady. It’s hard to find service like this anywhere you go these days. Food was on point and delicious!

Bland curry, small portions, over priced. It tastes like whoever cooked it doesn’t care.

I am not a Thai food fan, but the food here was pretty tasty. I ordered the bbq chicken on the lunch special, which included sides of rice for a up charge of $1.50 for brown rice, salad, and vegetable soup. Everything was freshly made, but the chicken was a little tuff but still flavorful. The service was not that attentive. Took our waitress a while to take our order and she messed up on two of our orders. However, she did fix the issue so that made it better. She was by herself so we let her slide. The inside is a decent size, not too much opulence but it's clean! It good for lunch and gets crowded fast since Huntington Hospital is across the street. They have different specials that are posted out front, and there Thai coffees and teas are popular. Overall, I will be back to try their appetizers and chicken soup. It's easy parking in the shopping center lot it's located in, and it's a cute lowkey spot with good specials. I would definitely recommend trying here!
