Loved this meal. Really fantastic quality fish and large portion size. We had the assorted sushi dinner for $50 and it was more than enough food. again, very impressed with the high quality of each fish. Best I've had in the area. I only took two photos as I was to hungry at the start of my meal to take those photos. There were several courses.

I have spent very little time in Pasadena over the years! Happened to be staying just 5 minutes from Sushi Karen and so thankful I was able to go enjoy this! I love eating sushi and would put what I had tonight up against anything I’ve had in LA and well beyond! The passion from the service and sushi chef (who I believe both were owners)was amazing and just a completely incredible place! I would not only eat at Sushi Karen again, but will show as many people as I can who love and appreciate good sushi and all it has to offer! Thank you and I feel honored to have stumbled upon this and to watch what true passion and love for what you do is amazing to see and taste.

Sushi Karen is a hidden gem! Super fresh fish, generous portions, and friendly staff. The sashimi platter is top-tier. Cozy atmosphere and great value—perfect for a chill sushi night in town. 🍣👌

Some of the best if not the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and prepared with care. The quality of the fish was better than I’ve seen in the states. Great mom and pop shop highly recommend! Just make sure you call ahead and reserve they do not do walk ins.
my favorite omakase place in east LA county. kind owners, quiet intimate ambiance. only downside is that you need to call to reserve in advance since they’re so popular - a good thing for type a planners but a potential drawback for type b people trying to look for spot to eat at the last minute.
so fresh and great quality, no frills sushi joint. highly reccomend

A small place with great sushi. Recommended to all the sushi lovers. Compare to other places, the service was a little bit slow as only one sushi chef is preparing the food. The food was very good and instructions how to eat it were provided. Reservations are required.
Best sushi place in the area. No further discussion.
The albacore was great. The sushi lunch was a really good deal and the fish was fresh and the cuts were generous. Very nice staff and a great chef. I can’t wait to come back.
Our friend Michael recommended them and we are very glad he did.
Will definitely return for the set menu.
Highly recommended them.
Try to get a table with a view of the master working behind the counter. A sight to see. !!!
