Nice and cozy ramen place. For lunch they just have a single ramen, so no options. But the ramen is delicious and good value. Good place if you don’t like choosing and just want some nice warm ramen.

I wish I could post a comment without a review as I still have never managed to come by here for a meal and found them open.... BUT, big PSA they do not serve meals here anymore. No lunch service and only izakaya snacks in the evening. Sad as I was really hoping to try what looked like real, affordable Japanese casual dining. :(

Pasadena. Simple $15 lunch combos (includes rice, salad, soup). Comfort traditional Japanese lunch in a small shop. 1 hour street parking, or else it cost to park in their plaza parking (or there's always Target with free parking too). Also, this place is small, so prepare to wait if you don't come closer to opening times. No dairy used in their food. My cousin's favorite local Japanese comfort food spot to stroll to. It's a decent, affordable, simple and clean meal.Includes rice, soup and salad.$14 Don bowl was hefty (comes with rice underneath)$15 Fried Aji (4 pieces of horse mackerel, and salad placed on the meal)$16 Curry (comes with rice on the plate)More than 3ppl requires rsvp by phone.Take out: No miso soup can be taken out.$1.50-$3 drinks. No refills for drinks. This place is not far from Target in case you wanted to stroll off your meal.

Dietary restrictions: No dairy used in their food at all.

Parking: 1 hour street parking, or else it cost to park in their plaza parking.

It's a little hard to review, because we didn't eat here. We WANTED to, so we came at lunchtime on a Saturday. The employee who met us near the door told as they were only serving ramen. In fact, only pork ramen. We were pretty surprised. The online menu has dozens of items, and the website didn't mention any restrictions on weekends. Guess we'll keep trying other Japanese restaurants instead.

Thank you very much for your help during my time here. I especially liked the sea urchin and udon. Long-term business travelers from Japan always used Takuya to recover their stomachs.

Always great for lunch and dinner! We love coming here - the waitress is the absolute sweetest. The only downside is that it can be a wait to get seated due to the smaller size of the dining room.

We drove a long way here because my kid is craving Japanese food. When we arrived, the waitress told us they are now a bar and no longer serve dinner, and kids are not allowed. Disappointed but totally understand, I politely asked if my kid could use the restroom since he's been holding it while on the way. The waitress said, No it's for customers only. I indicated that we are here for dine-in, not just for the restroom, and she replied that it's her boss's rule. Stubborn-minded. Feel sorry for the boss.

Fantastic and authentic Japanese food. Dont worry that its a "bar with snacks" now, it is really just a la carte and easy to have full meal at a reasonable price. The hostess is so nice!

We walked a long way here for Japanese food. When we arrived, the waitress told us they are now a bar and no longer serve dinner, and kids are not allowed. I asked if my 3year old girl could use the restroom. The waitress said, No, it's for customers only. I wanted to order a drink then my kid could use the restroom because she really needs to go. However, she still rejected us. Horrible people and stubborn-minded. Not kids friendly at all!!!

The best kept secret in Pasadena and our new casual date night spot. Saturday izakaya style dinner menu is absolutely delicious with awesome service to match.
