First time going. It was pretty good.
So delicious! I wish I could have finished everything! Fave thing was the flavorful pork and rice bowl. Also definitely double up on egg! And add corn to the ramen too!
This place was my favorite Raman place,. Now it's different. Noodle quality has changed, fried rice recipe changed. Broth was kind of oily, it used to be rich but not oily. It's not worth $21.50 Raman bowl!
I don't mind paying $18 for a good bowl of ramen, but you can find better out there for the same price.
Cheeky ramen: the broth was a lot saltier than I remembered it to be. I subbed pork for chicken and it was really dry and tough
Pickled cucumbers: this was really sour! Don't order this unless you like super sour stuff
Paid extra for the none sesame and no wheat version but still slapped so totally worth it. Quick too!
Love that they have non-pork broth options
Not too friendly but we need to eat. 2 other workers and myself ended up here for lunch. We were told to scan the menu and order, the guy who is there didn't even asked us if we were familiar with the food, didn't even gave us a recommendation or any help at all.,one coworker tried to place his order and my other coworker but somehow he couldn't add the order to cart, however I was able to do it, I added our order to my cart, once I enter my card info, I didn't get any notification that our order went in. At this point we already got water and utensils, which the person who brought them left them in one spot without giving us individually. My point is that is not a fast food restaurant where ourselves have to grab whatever we need . Back to the order part, after waiting for around 5 minutes or more I was trying to have someone to come near and ask about our order. Finally the same guy I don't know his name, was around and I waived at him and asked if our order went thru , he checked and sure enough didn't go, at this point were there for like 20 minutes and he finally offered to help us to place our order, thanks for that. I was surprised that sudently the place was busy. Another thing I'm really shocked about is the fact that when placing the order most of the items we have to pay, like if anyone wants corn, green onion, bambu , mushrooms etc in the ramen is $ 2.50 each item, and the egg I believe is like 4 dollars, plus 19 dollars ramen, adding this to the order anyone is expecting to pay easily 30 dollars or more with a drink. Last but no the least my noodles were slightly undercooked, the broth was pretty good can't complain, and for my coworkers to be their first time eating ramen they were happy with their food but were unhappy with the service, nobody came to ask how the food was or if everything was good nor even got water refill. If anyone decides to try their ramen you r more than welcome to come over. Good luck . Now this is nothing personal is just my personal opinion. Our comments are not to offend anybody.
Food was great (3rd or 4th time I've been here), but Josh was the true star. His customer service skills are top-notch and he truly went above and beyond in everything. The new gyudon bowl is truly worth it. The Old School Ramen is what I had and my parents had the Birria Ramen, both were fantastic. Portions are big and the prices are reasonable.
This location continues to go further downhill. Employees are typically painfully unfriendly at best, food quality has diminished and is increasingly more expensive.
I feel the quantity of food has also reduced over time. This ramen in my pic was taken before I had even taken a bite. I probably won’t be back :-/

Food quality has been consistent however they have raised their price so the quantity of food is quite less compared to the price. 1 dish is close to $20!

The ramen tastes good. However, the portion is small and the price is high. $20 for a bowl of ramen is a lower value compared to a lot of ramen places that even taste better than Tatsu. They open late tho. So it could still be a good option in some way if you crave for ramen in late night.

UPDATE: about three hours later: just threw up about 4 times and am experiencing chills.
I used to eat Tatsu religiously in college down in Westwood but this was genuinely the worst ramen I’ve ever had in my life. Thank god the egg was good. I’d prefer to eat a package from the dollar tree than ever eat at another Tatsu. Price was insane for a big bowl of hot flavorless oil. I will say, the servers were kind and it was a quiet atmosphere, but their food has truly taken a turn for the worst.
