Trendy 21st century meets old Pasadena. I love the design and decor of this place. This is a great spot for orderves and drinks. The owner, is a solid guy who genuinely cares about the people around him, his restaurant and customers.Go support a good man!

We dined at their jazz brunch in spring 2023 and had a great time enjoying the music and food selections. Based on only this one visit, the food was much better than a typical brunch spot and the price was about the same so I would like to come again. I’d recommend getting a table early to be seated before the performance starts, in case it gets busier.

I wish we could say something more positive. The only saving grace was the music and the Egg Sammy. We went for a Christmas Eve brunch- decor was sparse and not at all elegant as one might expect from the description. We ordered possibly the worst Bloody Mary we have ever tasted. The chicken and biscuits were smothered with sweet jam so it was hard to taste anything. The beignets were dense and doughy. The shrimp cocktail was tolerable as was the peppers- but nothing amazing.Service was OK even though there were not that many people there. This place is very casual , which is fine, but it is built up as something fancier which it is not. Overall very disappointing. Will not return.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The menu was diverse enough and the cocktail and wine list were solid. Went with a party of eight and everyone seemed pleased with their dishes. I'm pulling for neighborhood dining establishments like this to succeed. Servers were not great and less than seasoned. All in all, worth a visit.

Located on a sleepier side of town and giving off neighborhood gem vibes so I really really wanted to like The George. The food was just very okay with ok prices but in a charming, modern- bougie vibe restaurant. Brunch live music was very welcoming. There was really nothing outstanding with the food. The frittata was disappointingly overcooked, the biscuits and gravy was underwhelming, egg was trying really hard to almost be runny but just past done, bloody mary was barely the basics, and Crispy Baby Potato side was sadly not crispy (in fact more soggy on the bottom). Everything we ate felt like a huge disconnect between the good looking restaurant and the inviting menu to the rather dull meal. Service was good and parking was in the neighborhood streets around the corner.

Takes credit cardMade reservation on ResyLike people said, ambiance is like 1920's. Great accent ivy wall and ivy in the ceiling. There's a popcorn machine where you can self serve popcorn. Excellent service. Celebrated a birthday here The cocktails were really good. The Great Lie was excellent. Happy hour from 4pm-6pm I wanted the lamb shank but they sold out. Hot fried chicken appetizer- super tasty, super most chicken breast. The pickled vegetables was perfect to add to the chicken. Brussel sprouts - perfectly cooked. Perfect amount of acid. Cornish hen with risotto - risotto was excellent. It tasted super delicious. The meat was soft and tender. Pork chop- cooked appropriately but flavor was boring, didn't have much marinade. Chefs cut steak- steak was average

I almost don't want to write about it, since others may find out about this beautiful spot. George is a gorgeous restaurant in Pasadena where Hollywood charm meets art deco. The decor is beautiful. We went for a date night but it also seems like a great place for dinner with friends. I ordered their arrow sour - a spin on whiskey sour with cinnamon - and it was delicious!! My partner had a Kentucky mule which was also fresh and gingery. We had several small plates. The charcuterie was super good. Ooh and if you do go there don't forget to get the flourless chocolate cake. It comes with a little cute glass of Porto and is super

Very cute restaurant, love the decor and ambiance. Made a reservation for Sunday brunch, seated easily and live music was playing. Service was good, waitress was attentive to our needs. She got our order confused when wanting to substitute one of the sides, so a totally different item came out to us. They quickly remade our correct entree, but it was so fast! Like within less than 5 min, which makes me wonder how fresh the food really was? The egg Sammy was delicious! Eggs were fluffy and everything seasoned well. The truffle fries were okay, they kind of have a burnt taste to it that I didn't really enjoy. The French fries were much betterBiscuit and fried chicken - wouldn't order again. The biscuit tasted dry to me ... and the chicken did too. Side street parking is easy. Overall this place has the cutest ambiance but food was sort of average for me.

Nice ambiance. Very cozy and cute. Food iffy. I had the mixed salad with steak added. Awful vinaigrette. Horrible plating. Hamburgers were nothing special and were very pink. Salmon, again, horrible plating! Who serves salmon in a bowl? lol! Cornish game hen also served in a bowl. Cheese broccoli soup was hideous: salty, consistency of water, some sort of sour taste. Beignets were a joke; very tiny and hollow. Over priced. Sold as 4 per plate but each one was the size of an oreo. Cocktails were good. The worst part? There were 9 of us celebrating my bff's 60th. Her husband arranged this gathering to celebrate her. His meal did not arrive until everyone had finished. The server came by and apologized for the delay. Most of us waited for him to be served. Finally it was taking so long, some went ahead and ate. OMG! I spoke with the bartender, who apparently was the manager as the owner wasn't there. (This was a Saturday night.) The bartender called him twice but the owner told him nothing. The server told us the Husband's meal would be comped. I said that all the hot meals should be comped because by the time they were eaten, they were cold (Mine was the salad so being cold was fine! lol!) The server brought over the bill and had marked all the meals I'd asked to be comped and told us SHE would pay for them! OMG! There was no way we would agree to that! It wasn't her fault! I will NEVER go back! Sad, because this is literally one mile from my home. Oh...when we arrived and sat down at 5:15 Saturday evening, the first thing we were told was that they were out of the filet!!! What restaurant is out of a filet at 5:15 on a Saturday night? For heaven's sake...run out to the local grocery store (Stater Bros.) ONE BLOCK AWAY and get some more!

We always have the BEST time at the George! Usually we walk there since we live in the neighborhood, we are so lucky to have this gem! The interior design, the wall paper, art, small details of the bar, it's all so so so beautiful, and well done. I can't say enough about this place, you feel transformed and energized upon stepping into this very carefully curated spot. Usually my husband and I go and enjoy the bar, we can talk and hang with the bartenders, the owner, they are all so talented and fun to talk to. Recently I took my mom and my sister there for some much needed girls time and the service was great. They made us feel so special and my mom felt very well taken care of. - their happy hour is so great, the food is excellent. Appetizers and lots of wine, the best combo for quality time
