Very very nice place with very kind people. There is great BBQ as well as cobblers. The food was delicious the BBQ was delicious and not just one kind of meat. Chicken, pork or beef. I can’t wait to go again also it’s next to the movie theaters so this time I will eat and then watch a great show!Kid-friendliness: Need more seats for outside for customers but very nice place.

This is a Sunday spot for sure. Take out only but we enjoyed it outside on our patio. I'm a big a fan of places that go out of their way to give you both a delicious and nostalgic feeling. I ordered the pull pork sandwich, side of collard greens, Mac and cheese, and 1 peach cobbler. The pulled pork speaks for itself and it's handled so finely. I appreciate this method of pulled pork without fat but full of flavor on its own. They give you extra bbq sauce and some perfectly seasoned and not runny coleslaw. Mac and cheese was nice a warm and rich. The collard greens are a must!!!! My favorite side of all time paired with barbecue. Their collard greens are the best I've ever tasted. Once you open the container, you smell the ham hock and a nice peppery taste. You won't regret it. Lastly, the peach cobbler has a light and crispy crust with a delicious cinnamon and and peach filling. Warm this up and have it at home with or without a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You will feel soooo cozy and pleasantly full. Great service and well made meals.

Yum yummy, delicious yummy cobbler. We tried apple and peach both were delicious. The customer service was excellent, we picked to go, called ahead when we got there it was ready to go. The inside it's pretty small, I think it's a place just to pick up and go, try them out. There's parking on the street.

Just ordered the rib tip dinner but clearly the only thing the damn cashier knew was "brisket dinner" . I haven't been here in about a year and nothing has changed. Still the same soggy ass Mac and cheese and over priced dinner. It went from $20-$26 for the same fucking plate. Don't eat here! It's below mediocre. It's has so much potential but just holds onto its old bad habits. Nasty weird tasting brisket and the Mac and cheese tasted like peach cobbler. It was terrible.

I happened by this location on my way to Cars. We tried the peach cobbler and it was mildly disappointing. The peach cobbler wasn't very sweet (nor was it spiced with anything) and the crust had no flavor . For $9, you get a small aluminum tin and a bland pie. I gave the store 3 stars for friendly warm service.

Local family owned gem with a very unassuming storefront, but when I walked in I felt transported to a southern bake shop with the hospitality to match. Gloria didn't have to do much talking for us to be sold into some peach and berry cobblers. We are so happy to have found it and will be telling more people to come here for authentic bbq and cobblers.

3/4/2024, It's been almost one year since I last been to this hole in the wall deli that sells over-priced way too sweet cobbler that's nothing has changed about it for the past 30 years. The cobbler is still served in those cheap aluminum containers but the price has gone up now to a ridiculous $8.95 price tag. They didn't even have any peach cobbler when I came back this time, last time they didn't have any peach out as well. Only plenty of berry and apple cobbler in the display, that's ridiculous. Just 10 years ago the price was around $4.00 for a cobbler which I thought was a reasonable price, but the price has increased over 10% each year over the past decade. In fact, all the menu items have exponentially increased at this place and nothing has changed nor improved about the place. The same old painting is on the wall as you enter, the same old looking front door and its dirty windows. The old dirty looking cobbler display at the cash register which is the only thing that's changed. The owners attitudes are very sour and unfriendly especially to lighter skinned African Americans like myself. I bought two pathetically small sweet potato pies for a ridiculously $4.95 each on Sunday and the dark skinned owner made absolutely no eye contact with me nor was he friendly or polite towards me. He also just ignored me for over 5 minutes when I first came into the store. He didn't even saying anything like, "I will be with you in a second". So I just had to stand there waiting until I said something to get his slow attention. The sweet potato pie tasted sour and nasty. I gave one to my friend who was waiting patiently but a long time in the car for me, he took one bite of it and tossed the rest in the trash saying it tasted nasty. I later took a bite of mine when I got back home later in the afternoon, I had to toss mine too in the trash. A waste of my money on those pies. I won't come back to this ridiculously over-priced place nasty place. The food is honestly not that great for their sky high menu prices. Crazy!

I am so glad we came across this place randomly. It is a tucked gem on side street. The smell was so amazing that captured our attention walking by it. The bbq is truly authentic southern style and the cobbler are extremely yummy with just the right amount of sugar. Not too sweet and just right.

Wonderful family-owned business. We tried the mixed berry and peach cobblers, and OMG, they were nothing short of sensational !! Actually, they were perfect ! Perfect amount of fruit, amazing seasonings and flavor, and the perfect crust. Thin and delicious, not gummy or doughy. That's for both cobblers. I think the peach was my favorite of the two we tried. I really liked the berry, too, but peach was the best. It's been many months since I was there, and I stumbled onto the fact that I never wrote a review for this place. I'm so glad I discovered my error because their cobblers are worth every accolade. I had a lovely conversation with the "wife" owner. She was so sweet and talkative. Lovely person, and I was so glad to have met her... and bought her cobblers. Her husband came out front to deliver a sheet full of cobblers. He was obviously hard at work in the kitchen. We don't exactly live around the corner, but when I return to Pasadena, this will be on my list FOR SURE.

My wife bought some Peach Cobbler home. I did not know I was a cobbler fan until I tried this spot. Now every time she goes to Pasadena I am telling her to bring me a new flavor to try. Really delicious treats!

I live overseas. This place has been a staple in my family for over 20 years, when I was born and raised in LA, so it's a must eat when I'm home. Peach is my favourite, but really they're all amazing. Wonderful flavour, the family that have owned this for generations have always been so sweet and warm, just like their famous cobbler. Support amazing small business like this!
