The Lost Cuban Kitchen

Cuban food is really good! Loved the ropa vieja and my husband loved the arroz con pollo. It's too bad that it's closed. Part of the Kitchen Collective, I hope they reopen soon.

It's definitely not the most authentic Cuban restaurant around, but considering it's in Pasadena, this places makes a worthy effort. If you can get past the fact that this isn't a sit down restaurant with servers and staff, but more of an impersonal order it yourself via technology kind of a place, and just focus on the food, The Lost Cuban Kitchen is worth your time. I love Cuban and Latin American food but was not that impressed with my order (delivered) from LCK. The mojo-infused slow-roasted pork was tender, tangy and juicy, for the most part, but couldn't help feel it was missing something. It was pulled and would have gone well in a tortilla with some salsa, IMO. The rice was fine, but the plantains were very disappointing as they were dense, chewy and overcooked.
