I was at the Bad Student Film Festival at the Elysian Theater on August 23, 2025, and I could not have been more pleased with the catering that was provided to us by The Taco Guy Catering. All of the preparation and ingredients were out of this world and the service was impeccable. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the wait times and quality of the food, I could tell. Would definitely want to hire them if I were to hold an event in the future.

The Taco Guy Catering is the best!!! Celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday and Jose was so awesome! On time, quick, super nice, food was delicious and quick clean up and he did it all in this brutal heat! And your prices beat everyone else we considered….Thank you for your services.

I strongly advise against hiring this company unless you’re prepared to deal with unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and misleading pricing practices. A family member previously used this business for an event. While the food was passable, the meat was excessively greasy, and both the rice and beans were served cold due to the company not providing proper food warmers during catering.
Despite the mediocre quality, I decided to consider them for an upcoming event purely out of convenience and my own lack of time to research other vendors. Their reservation process is entirely online, which I followed by submitting multiple requests. However, no one ever contacted me to confirm. I eventually had to follow up myself and was repeatedly connected with an employee named Fernando.
Unfortunately, Fernando — who claims to be a supervisor — was consistently rude and dismissive. Though he speaks in a calm tone, his demeanor is noticeably sarcastic and unprofessional. He gave the impression that he had no interest in helping or resolving any issues. After submitting a reservation well in advance, I was later told the date was unavailable, despite others at the company informing me that it was, in fact, open.
To make matters worse, the pricing listed online does not match what you’re ultimately charged. There are undisclosed fees based on your payment method, and you’re unlikely to receive a detailed receipt unless you specifically request one — and even that may come with an added charge.
I sincerely hope the owner, Sergio, reads this review and considers taking appropriate action to improve the company’s customer service and transparency. In particular, I recommend re-evaluating Fernando’s role in handling client communications, as his approach does not reflect the standards expected from someone in a supervisory position.

We hired The Taco Guy for a birthday party, and they completely exceeded expectations! The setup was professional, the team was punctual and friendly, and the food was delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot off the grill. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the al pastor. They kept the line moving smoothly, and cleanup was a breeze. I’d absolutely book them again for any event!

Benito from The Taco Guy Catering was incredible! He really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was SO good—everyone at my grand opening event couldn’t stop talking about the tacos and quesadillas. You could tell he cared about making the whole experience great. Super friendly, professional, and just made everything easy. I’d 100% recommend him for any event! The tacos are reasonably priced and very affordable for a large event.

I hired Taco Guy Catering for my baby shower this past weekend and it was the best choice. I first reached out to them on Yelp to ask about pricing and they were quick to respond. I like their prices so I decided to go with them. You get to choose four meat options and I went with the carne asada, chicken, Al pastor and chorizo. You'll have to pay first with a deposit to secure the date and have until the week of the event to cancel to get your money back.
The week before my event, my wife wanted to add some drinks so I reached back out to see if I could add some horatcha and Jamaica drink which they allowed me to do. The day of the event, Marco was our cook and he reached out to me to let me know he was on the way. I saved him a parking spot so it would be easier for him at my house.
Marco was amazing, he set up quick and the customer service he provided was great. My party guest really love the carne asada meat the most so if I book them again, I might just ask for double the carne. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and a lot of the guest like that next. The chorizo was the one that was the most leftover. The drinks were great too and remember to have your own ice. Marco also walked around with quesadillas to ask the guest who would want them. I would book this catering business again for any event. I wish I would've taken more pictures but I was too busy.
