This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pasadena. We’ve tried a lot of their dishes but my favorite is the birria. So good! Highly recommend.

This restaurant is wonderful!! Food is delicious, warm, and made with such rich flavors. The service is lovely they are always nice and greet me with a smile. The decor in the restaurant is really nice and homey, you can tell they founded Tortas Mexico with love and care. Highly highly recommend giving this place a try if you want authentic, delicious Mexican food. When I walked in there were 2 abuelitas eating menudo, so you know it’s good.

Friendly service and delicious authentic food. Found this place after my grandma’s eye appointment and she’s a picky eater. There were lots vegetarian options, I had the Oaxaca style mole enchiladas. My grandma loved it. We will be back! The inside is small but fine for small parties of 4. Clean and the service was fantastic.

Small place with a great Mexican breakfast on a Sunday morning. Had huevos y chorizo and the birrria con chilaquiles and a great horchata. Highly recommend for breakfast. Staff was super nice and the timing was quick

Tortas Mexico is a fantastic spot for authentic Mexican food! The flavors are rich and fresh, and the tortas are some of the best I’ve ever had. The service is top-notch—friendly, fast, and welcoming. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, making it an incredible value. If you’re craving real, high-quality Mexican food, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Awful taco. We couldn’t even finish one. Oil was dripping from the crispy shell. The beef was burnt and dry and tasteless. It was the worst taco I’ve ever had in my life.
Although specializing in Tortas, their tacos are incredibly underrated with their al pastor being especially sweet, savory, & delicious. Highly recommend this establishment when in downtown Pasadena especially with the fair prices matching the portion sizes.
Coffee is thin, essentially dark brown water.
I asked for a breakfast burrito (which comes with a coffee) but if they could substitute al pastor for the chorizo. She stated it would be more. Sure, a couple bucks is fine.
$14 extra.
$14.
A breakfast burrito is $13.99
Looking at the receipt, she charged also for coffee which was supposed to be included.
Looking for a quick bite for lunch. Had the Asada and cheese. OUTSTANDING. I’ll definitely be back.
The flavor is lacking, it's very bland, very safe. Not necessarily authentic, but average. Idk what the hype is. We ordered tacos de asada, which should be a classic staple at ANY Mexican restaurant, but not here, they were wack. The al pastor was a joke, maybe too much pineapple? It wasn't what I had imagined. We also had the quesabirria taco. It lacked flavor. Very sad. I don't imagine eating here again. Glad others have had a great experience.
The ambiance is cute, the staff is friendly and they accept card payment. They offer an outside seating area and plenty of other Mexican themed food. Lol
