This was not our first time to true food kitchen. Typically we have a good experience at this restaurant, but sadly this evening, The restaurant did not meet our expectations. The ambience is loud, however that's typical. So that's something we've learned to accept. Our server was not particularly friendly, lacked  enthusiasm and rarely checked in on us throughout our meal. The butternut squash needed to be sent back because it was watery and tasteless and the overall meal just didn't seem to be up to the restaurants typical quality. I'm not sure if we'll be returning.

Best of L.A. type of experience! Great food —with many healthy choices, while also yummy! Lovely outdoor (and also indoor) seating with a chill vibe. Friendly and professional service, always. Great location in Old Town Pasadena with shopping. And all at a very reasonable price. Keep it up, True Foods! We'll keep coming back!!

Our table was waiting for our arrival, exactly as we requested. Entire staff was warm and friendly like always. Perfect menu and delicious beverages and meals. Met my colleague here to go over cases during lunch. As always, the food and service are wonderful. It's the only place in town where I feel I have a diverse choice for my gluten free diet. We were going to sit indoors, but it was quite loud during lunch on a Sunday so we opted for outdoor seating.

There was 4 of us dining at the Pasadena location. We made reservation for 5:45pm. The service was good overall. It not a big menu. I had the Margarita Pizza, it was good. My boyfriend had the chicken parmasan with red pasta sauce. The chicken was good but the sauce flavor was all wrong. The restaurant ambience was cozy and a little cool last night.

Food was decent, but not worth the price. The hummus was pretty mediocre, and the salads (chinese chicken salad and chopped salad) were just ok. The Sparkling Prickly Pear Tisane was nice though. And the service and atmosphere were pretty good. I would give it 5 stars if prices were more reasonable.
I ordered a turkey burger with a simple salad to go, and they gave me a turkey burger and fries. Of course, it was in a sealed bag, and so I didn't notice until I got home. I can't eat fries, so now I'm left without a full meal. The food is too expensive for them to be giving me half my order wrong.

We recently hosted our holiday party at True Food Kitchen in Pasadena, and it was an outstanding experience! Laura, the coordinating manager, was exceptional - organized, responsive, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. On the day of the event, Dean was our server, and his service was impeccable. He was attentive, friendly, and ensured every detail was perfect. The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend True Food Kitchen for any event or gathering!
