No amount of poorly-written AI reviews can do this awesome place justice, so as always, you're getting a human-written review from a human-experienced event. Yesenia was our server and she was a 10/10 all-around super professional server from the moment we set fot in the establishment. The food itself is unmatched. I have been to their San Gabriel location at least 3 or 4 times and this place is just as good in terms of flavor and quality. The ambiance is great, the server even went as far as lowering the window blinds after some new customers walked in and they sat close to one of the windows. Tsukemen will forever remain as my favorite kind of Ramen (it's basically cold noodles that you dip in a hot and salty broth served in a small bowl on the side). One of the assistant managers offered to help me in how to eat it but I was already familiar with the concept, so I thanked her for her offer and proceeded to eat. The fried chicken is another ball game, it's literally Japanese fried chicken but they also add a touch of some sort of honey-based syrup that makes it 100 times better. My parents had the tonkotsu and it was great too. Truly a remarkable experience in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.

Was hyped to try this new spot in Pasadena, the service was horrible ! To start off they got my order wrong. The food portion is small compared to your traditional ramen, I waited about 30 minutes if not longer for the food, I requested additional side dishes for the ramen by the time the server brought the side dishes the ramen was cold, Very Disappointed, not coming back.

I got the deluxe ramen and it tasted like creamy milk. It was lacking salt. The broth was warm and the chashu was cold... I had to mix it under the hot noodles to warm everything up. Honestly it was just lacking in flavor. I dunno if my memory is messing with me but I definitely don't remember the one on Sawtelle tasting like this.

I had very good tsukemen, and I really liked the karaage too. Maybe I'll try the ramen next time. It was also pretty expensive, but I guess that's just old town.

How do you run out of ramen?? 😳

The food is flavorful but the portions are tiny. I was not full with a bowl of ramen and I don’t even eat much. Also, my to-go order was missing the extra mushrooms 😒

If you like Tsukemen this place is great (some of the best I’ve had in US). Our kids also loved it.

The service was wonderful. I have a seafood allergy they were so accommodating and kind. I chose the Aijitama tonkotsu with no seaweed, my friend chose the spicy version. It was so incredibly filling- the broth is silky.. chashu pork was thin sliced and perfect. I can’t wait to come back when the weather is milder lol perfect for a cold day. Fantastic pricing as well. Give them a try!

Now this is a traditional noodle place, the portions are reasonable. The noodles are fresh, and the broth is full of flavors. I would definitely return for another visit, to be able to explore the other flavors. Luckily no wait time since it was near closing hours.

Tried their new dan dan ramen. Its different but good. You can adjust your numbness and spiciness. Then wash it off with their brown sugar shaved ice… YUM!!!!!

This place is so good! I saw someone recommended this place, so decided to give this a try. My family got the regular hot ramen option (not the dipping one) and it was great! My 3 kids, 7 yo and under, were all quiet when they were eating. That's how you know the food is good 😄. I got the vegan ramen, and although I was a little iffy with vegan options, it did not disappoint! The noodles were just at the right consistency, the broth is rich but not overwhelming, and the milk tea is just excellent! Will be back if I'm in the area.

Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen was excellent! Add a little bit of hot sauce if you like spicy, and you're good to go.

Kid-friendliness: They have kids ramen on the menu, but it's definitely for 6 and under. The portion is very small.
