I stopped by Urth Caffe Pasadena and honestly had a really nice time. The vibe there is super chill and cozy, but still lively enough that it feels fun to hang out. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, chat, or just enjoy your drink without feeling rushed.
I’m already a fan of their coffee, and this time I tried the Spanish Latte. It smelled amazing right away, and the taste was just as good—smooth, slightly sweet, and really comforting. Definitely a solid choice if you’re not sure what to order.
One thing I appreciated a lot was the parking. There’s a lot in the back, and it was easy to find a spot, which is sometimes hard for popular cafés.
I also tried the Matcha Tiramisu, and that was a pleasant surprise. It’s an interesting way on a classic dessert, with a nice matcha flavor that isn’t too strong but still stands out. Overall, it was a great visit, and I’d totally come back again for the drinks, desserts, and laid-back atmosphere.

Super cute and beautiful coffee shop. Absolutely enjoyed their apple pie, I can tell it was super bad for me, It was so good!!
Their Italian cappuccino was spot on, not overly sweet with good cinnamon flavor. However, the other two items we got did not taste anything as described. Their rose matcha tasted like a basic Matcha latte, and their Spanish latte tasted like a plain vanilla latte. I don’t understand what was so unique about it. I got one too many drinks, thinking they were going to be amazing art as shown in owner photos.
The decor was very beautiful and true to its name, the service was also very quick and friendly. I also like that they gave you the option between light and dark roast.

Their sandwiches are not bad, great selection. Definitely a crowded cafe. I think it’s better to come here on cold days cause in the summer it’s like an oven as this cafe is like semi outdoors. Would definitely come here again. Also finding a table is kinda hard. And you have to tell someone to help you clean the table.

The service here is awful,! They ignore your requests for simple things, for example, I had requested the heater to be on and they never turned it on even after an hour by then I was done with my food and yet still no one came to help. That's just one example there's been many more times that they didn't provide even an ok service, let alone a good service! You pay so much for a mediocre food, drinks/coffee/teas are overpriced, plus the service is lousy. Most of the tables weren't clean for a long time, I asked the cashier if someone can clean a table, I would have liked to have sat on, however, nobody came even after 15 minutes so I just finally decided to sit at another table, meanwhile the tables around me remained unclean, even after an hour. This place isn't like what it used to be.

This review is only for one thing that came up today. I came on MLK day and the bathrooms had no paper towels, and no toilet paper. It is obvious that none of their staff members had attended to the bathrooms For quite some time. This establishment needs to do a better job of manning their bathrooms, especially with such a high volume of clientele that they serve. Their online order pick up station towards the back was also very very low staffed and at times no one was even there. We ordered coffees and it took over half an hour to get them.

That restaurant provides high quality food and beverages at reasonable price. My favorite drink to get from there is the Rising Sun Matcha. Espresso, dark chocolate, and Matcha make for a rich combo. The wide variety of food options is the only challenging thing about that place.
