So sad to see this unique destination close. After a long day of work it was the perfect go-to with a friend or two; to grab a drink & catch up. We'd sit on the couch by the open window and listen to the music echo through the tall staircase and watch the string lights among their elegant display of hanging plants. Such a beautiful spot & destination and I'm not sure if another business can do its beauty justice. It was definitely the first spot I suggested to go with friends. A place with mellow vibes that serves alcohol without a humongous line and banging music. Cheers to the good times. Let me know if & where you relocate

Tried to go here while I was visiting Pasadena and it was closed although Yelp said it should be open. No sign on the door to indicate otherwise and no answer when I called the business

DEVASTATED!!!!! We loved Vertical Wine Bistro and have been loyal followers thru several owners. We enjoyed not only the delicious food, but the wonderful people who made us feel like part of a family. We want to thank bartender Ernesto, Chef Laurent, Eric, Jonathan, and Ruben for providing us with so many memorable and amazing meals that we will cherish. We dine out frequently and it is hard to find restaurants that are consistent in their food quality and service. Vertical had it all! We wish all of the staff past and present the best of luck as they move on and hope our paths will cross again someday. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful memories shared! J and B

Price is high but food quality is not good! Service can be much better than that! 40 dollars for filet mignon is 40 and New York steak for 36. I will recommend you to try another steak house instead for it

Love coming here for a romantic date night. It feels kinda like a hole in wall. Their happy hour is great, and their mac n cheese is legit the best we've ever had. The mixed drinks are always delicious and hit the spot, whether you want something refreshing or more on the sweeter side. The service is always stellar. I've never had one bad experience of all the times I've been.

As an update to this review, after reaching out to the owners, their response was literally "sorry not sorry". After stating that they were surprised to hear about our experience, Colleen Liss literally said: "Fortunately for us, other first time customers from that same evening had a different experience. They have given us rave reviews and have booked parties in the near future". Absolutely not taking responsibility for our experience at all. Perfect example of why I'd never recommend this place to anyone. And based on the very few people that were in Vertical the night that we were in there, and there was absolutely zero leadership or manager on site, I doubt they booked a bunch of parties that night! Makes me laugh. How is this place still open? Look through these reviews? How?!

This was my second time visiting here and I was definitely still impressed. First off, the steps leading up to the wine bar are beautiful with the lights and shrubs hanging off the edges. I have never been for a meal, but I have had some of their happy hour and cocktails menu items and I have loved them all. This visit, I just had the blueberry lemonade which was a tasty mix of vodka and other liquors. The drink was lovely and it was so fitting for the ambiance. Definitely a gem in Pasadena if your looking for something a little more low key and easy, compared to louder spots off of Colorado. I highly recommend!

Our first time at Vertical Wine, beautiful wrought Iron staircase, doors and nice bar & dining room. Good selection of appetizers, entree and wine list. It has a full bar and good beer selection. We ordered appetizers, salad and appetizer pizza. Sliders, beef Kebob, calamari, Salad was good, but the pizza which we ordered margarita? It had veggies on it and totally frozen. I even asked the waiter if this was a frozen pizza he paused and said no. In any case I wouldn't get the pizza, the dining room was nice & wish they would only play calm jazz or classical music in the dining room & whatever else music in the bar area. Rick the owner seated us and he was really nice & Ruben our waiter was also very nice and. Efficient & professional. Thank you
