We did the tasting, got lunch, and rented the electric bikes. Wine tasted so good, we got multiple bottle to go! Food was great and the electric bike experience was awesome in this beautiful vineyard! Highly recommend!

Although the day began with clouds, the weather was pleasant and ideal for our family of four to start our Camp Cass adventure. Our tour guide was “Chase” and he met us at the main Tasting Room to start the day’s activities. We visited the restrooms and admired the expansive vistas of the entire Cass Winery estate from the highest point in the vineyard. The views are absolutely stunning. We then traveled together in a convoy of personal vehicles to the location where Cass Winery offers axe throwing and archery ranges with wine tasting for enjoyment. Eight of us had a great time doing archery and sharing a bottle of 2023 VIOGNIER Cass white wine. The white wine undergoes a cold fermentation process in stainless steel, resulting in a delightful combination of scents like honeysuckle, apricot, and Asian pear. The flavor of pear is prominent and continues on the palate, accompanied by a subtle note of banana custard that lingers into a satisfying grapefruit finish. Following our successful and expertly taken family photos at the shooting range, we made our way to the charming cafe tasting room on the east side of the wine estate. Beautiful Rhone vines, towering oak trees, and a picturesque Chef’s Garden surrounded the tasting room. We relished in a delightful lunch, accompanied by two glasses of exquisite red wine. The first being the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is deep ruby red and has lovely fruit forward fragrances of lingonberry jam, black cherry, cassis, and cranberry. The second being our favorite 2021 ROCKIN’ ONE RED. 40% Mourvèdre, 27% Syrah, 26% Grenache, 7% Petite Sirah. The lovely red garnet color offers instant aromas of raspberry cordial, red cherry, and raisins. The taste buds detect notes of raspberry, vanilla, earth, and almond. We had a delightful wine tasting experience with a selection of dishes, including the Cass estate bread flight served with estate-grown olive oil, chef’s marmalades, spreads, and olives. Alice Cass’ crab cakes, a Caesar salad, blackened chicken mac and cheese, and a Monte Cristo panini with smoked ham, mortadella, bacon, and sweet lemon raspberry preserves.

Wine was ok and the ambiance was really nice with tables and open space for dogs. The outdoor pizza oven was cool but the pourer and service in general was lacking. Inattentive and not enthusiastic servers. I wanted to take wine home but to wave the tasting fee needed to purchase 2bottles which was double the tasting fee-no thanks.

I came here on a luncheon today with a couple of my girlfriends. I give the food a four star review. I had a prawn salad which was very good. The ambience is first class. Beautiful day on a Thursday and the surrounding area with beautiful. However the service was terrible. We ordered our lunch and it took a while to come. We were there already 20 minutes and our server totally ignored us while the people at the table next to us sat down and got their food immediately. So I ordered an appetizer that never came. Our lunch came first. I reminded our server about the appetizer and he assured us it was coming. So we ate our lunch and the appetizer never came. I reminded him again and he said he was on it. Never came. He poured wine for my two friends. My diet absolutely does not allow me to have wine. I ordered an iced tea which was never refilled until I asked another server to bring me a refill. All this is unacceptable. Maybe he was having a bad day but the place was not overly crowded. He seemed to be very distracted but I saw him being very attentive to the other guests. I don't think I will be coming back to Cass. Just no excuse for bad service and being ignored.

The location of this winery is absolutely beautiful, amongst rolling green hills, which is your view when having a meal outside. There are farm animals and a vegetable garden you can walk around and check it all out. The wine was very good and so was the food, the service could have been better (slow) as the servers were also doing the wine tasting pours, so they seemed to be stretched too thin of no fault of their own. Price-wise a little steep for what you get and you can only get one tasting fee waived for every 2 bottles you buy so that was a bummer. Overall I would love to go back.

Ran the 5k Wine run here today. Was very nice and the workers were friendly. I was able to get this photo before the rain started pouring! Got alittle wet on the flight down

Way out in the rolling green hills. Far, far from town. Restaurant was NOT taking walk-ins. Too crowded and busy they said. Just wow!

Recently visited Cass Winery in late February with another couple. As with the scenery and the ambiance in the local wineries, the initial impression was a good one until we were seated. We selected the $25 tasting service (3) and placed an order for two food items, crab cakes & salad with blackened chicken. Our wine tasting service began with the lightest/smallest pours we had ever seen. Then the individual disappeared after the second pour at which time we had to get up and request continued service. Our food arrived and both plates fared rather well, only the server delivered the plates and disappeared. Again I had to get up and request the delivery of additional condiments. Our bill arrived totaling $175 for our lovely lunch. We will never again visit this establishment. A definite thumbs down................

We did not try the wines, but stopped for lunch at the recommendation of a previous winery. Even on a Tuesday, the patio was buzzing with people. There is a brick oven in the corner of the patio so you can watch your pizzas going in and coming out. Mine was scrumptious with a beautiful thin, but slightly chewy inside and crisp outside, crust. The cheese and toppings hit just right too. It was a comfortable patio with plenty of shade and a view of the vineyards. Well worth the stop and the food was out relatively quick.

Excellent boutique winery with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. Great wines. $25 tasting for 5 pours. The wines are expensive though. The food including the fresh woodfired pizza is excellent. Good friendly service.

Cass Winery is one of the best wineries located just a few hours from Los Angeles and in the heart of Paso Robles. We love coming here as it's hidden off the main road, a gorgeous drive through the rolling hills and no need to leave. Whether you want to get away for the weekend or just the night, stay here, you will not be disappointed. They have the best accommodations on site with sunset views and a fire pit in the evening. The restaurant here is outstanding, everything we ordered was delicious and definitely purchase a bottle or two of wine to go. Outside seating is gorgeous with views of the vineyard and the animals they have on the property. They grow some fresh vegetables and have an amazing pizza oven outside that will deliver some of the best pizza you have ever had. Not joking! You can also book a tour in advance through Third Wheel Tours to take a ride throughout the vineyard and beyond. We did it and loved every minute. Before you leave don't forget to share a kiss under the massive mistletoe tree. We love Cass winery and the service can't be beat. Thank you Linden for adding to our exceptional experience! Cheers!
