Heard that this was a good steakhouse to go but got there right before they closed at 2pm but great news is that the bar upstairs opens at 2. Had a quick stop and a couple of drinks but was very impressed with the place very relaxed atomsphere.

Charcuterie board was not good, extremely overpriced at $31. This is a sub $20 quality charcuterie.

Two uninspiring cheeses: both dried up.
Two meats: prosciutto was ok, two piles of salami that was not good.
Olives. Ok.
Dried figs and apricots. Okay.
Two strawberries that were going bad.
Rosemary spig: dried up unfortunately.
Huge pile of walnuts, a garbage nut that nobody wants to eat a ton of.
It felt like the large volume of apricots, salami, and walnuts was a quantity over quality move. Felt like I could have done better with some bags at Kroger.

I also think painting the large structural beams in the ceiling a 7th tone of grey like every other surface is a mistake. They need some natural wood warmth in there.

First time here. This was just a short walk from my hotel. It's in the Paso Robles Hotel and upstairs from the steakhouse. The Helen's Haunting Cocktail is great, almost too good. LOL. I had the grilled salmon. I have never had Corn in Risotto before, but it worked, and it was cooked perfectly. The Salmon is superb. You won't be disappointed, come here and enjoy.

We’re staying in the hotel nearby. We anticipated our booking time. No problem. We waited for a while, then we asked the waitress for delay reason. We were immediately helped, getting our orders in 5 minutes. Prime rib was delicious, good amount of sides. Fair prices. Suggested.

Gross understaffing and poorly trained staff really showed & really detracted from our Wed. Nite dinner. Reservation made 13 days ahead directly with restaurant was lost. My husband again repeated this was my birthday & was assured waiter would be alerted. Result = no special anything. Evening “special” of 10 oz. prime rib was at least4 oz. Of fat (NO exaggeration) & served rare tho we asked for medium rare. 1st request for fresh ground pepper was forgotten & at 2nd request we were told they didn’t have a pepper grinder. Then I saw one grinder on nearby counter - but never could catch a server to get any. Asked twice for more water before we got it. Never could catch anyone for more sour cream. Staff was hustling but obviously overworked. Came only too fast to hurry us to order then we got ignored in spite of our attempts to get service. Wholly unsatisfactory evening unworthy of nice property - real disappointment.

The poutine was amazing. A must try.The Duke is also ??The roasted chicken was quite a disappointment though. My girlfriend found it over seasoned. But I swear it was just off. There was something peculiar about that little birdy upon the plate.Anyway, Ian made a wonderful drink. And Megan provided wonderful service.Would highly recommend.

First off, this is a review for a breakfast we had here, not a dinner. We were planning on having dinner at the Steakhouse that evening; however, after the breakfast, we changed our minds. I had avocado toast and my husband had eggs benedict. My toast was awful. The toast was soggy and lacked any flavor. I ate only half a slice as I was hungry, but not that hungry. The eggs benedict came with very little sauce and the ham was so thin you did not even know it was there. Also, the sauce that was there was flavorless. There are many options around the square....seek them out.
