China Gourmet, located in Paso Robles, serves Chinese food with really fancy, upscale dining. They have an extensive wine wall with an incredible amount of local wine available! Their Chinese food is one of the best around, in my opinion. Everything we order is always fresh, super hot and absolutely delicious! My husband and I usually order chicken chow mein, orange chicken, sizzling black pepper steak and crab rangoon - Amazing!!! Only thing to note is that they are quite pricey (probably due to the fact that if you dine in it is quite fancy). We usually only order to-go/for pick up, so the price is a little steep since we're not staying in dine in, but, it's worth it in our opinion as good Chinese food is hard to come by in this area! Highly recommend if you're looking for really delicious Chinese food that never disappoints!

Very good quality cooking here. I generally have Kung Pao delight. Delicious. My wife likes their cashew chicken. Lunch is a great deal.

We are visiting Paso and decided we wanted Chinese food so we gave it a go based on reviews. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent. Portions were plenty. A bit pricey but worth it. We will go back!

I don't live in Paso so it's been about a year since I was last here. This time, two of the three entrees I ordered should have been sent back to the kitchen but I picked up to-go and didn't open the bag until back at home 25 minutes later. The Chicken with Cashew Nuts is supposed to feature broccoli as the vegetable, but this dish was at least 60% chopped celery and zero broccoli though broccoli is certainly in season. The Curry Singapore was ordered regular without added spice, but it was full of red pepper flakes and spice and was too hot to eat unless you enjoy blistering heat. IF I go back I'll be sure to sample each to-go container in the car before heading home.

I arrived to pick up my large order and another customer arrived to pick up as I was about to leave. I smiled and asked , “oh have you had walnut shrimp? It looks good!” The woman at the counter chimed in loudly saying, “he's a regular customer you don’t need to tell him!”We will never go back.

We had the Kung Pao chicken and sweet and sour pork. Very well done. The fried rice was exceptionally delicious. The portions were perfect with plenty to take home for a light dinner.Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was a nice place to have lunch. They also had spotless bathrooms which tells a lot.Will return. Good job!

The food here is consistent and delicious with quality ingredients. I highly recommend the Hot Sour Soup, Pork Chow Mein, Fried Rice and Egg Foo Young. Although, there's nothing I have tried that wasn't good. This restaurant has intimate, soothing ambience and is a great place to meet up with an old friend to eat and chat. It is always clean, the restrooms are well lit and taken care of. The portions are substantial and pricing is reasonable. The owner is warm and interacts with his guests when he is there. The only reason this restaurant doesn't get 5 stars is that the employees aren't overly pleasant and you don't feel like they appreciate you or your business.

Seriously one of the most amazing chinese food places i've ever eaten! Absolutely fantastic Service! Best fried wantons I've ever eaten in my life. It's been around for 30 years. The owner Jack is amazing so personal, fantastic environment. Definitely a place we will visit time and time again!!!!

Went in today, one of us ordered lemon chicken lunch. Brought out orange chicken, said oh I put in the wrong thing and walked away. He never came back. The orange chicken wasn't even touched. The kicker, we were charged for it. Ridiculous.
We usually order to go but decided to dine in this time. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. Our food came out fast. Every taste delicious. The only negative that I can say is that some of the cabbage in our chicken chow mein was rotten. This should never happen.

I've had Chinese food from many places across the country and this was some of the WORST Egg Foo Young I've had. A total waste of $30. My first and definitely the last. Never again will i watse my hard earnedmoneyon this garbage. YUCK! I will be sure to post on my page and tell anyone not to eat from this

The food is AWFUL. Any person who has actually tried Chinese food would know. We were starving but couldn’t even finish our meal after ordering as much as we did. It’s overly salty, everything tastes the same and there is no flavor. We will never be back.

I have tried them on several occasions thinking it might get better but it doesn't!! Maybe because it's one of the few spots here in town people are accepting but I've had great Chinese food and this was not it!! I would rather have Panda Express
