Delicious library wines with truly inventive labels and character

I don't always love going to tasting rooms in town. I like going out the rooms right at the vineyard. But this one had good reviews so we gave it a try. The room is charming, a former train station office with high ceilings and nice furniture and bar. We have discerning taste when it comes to wine, and these incredible blends of Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Tannat, etc were really out of this world. We bought 4 bottles after our excellent tasting session with Jim. May join the club in the future. Highly recommend!

Stopped in on our way through town and needed a bottle of wine, and I admittedly know nothing except that I like reds. Was lucky enough to meet Sam, who helped us pick a great bottle that was “approachable”. Can’t wait to visit again with more time to taste. Such a great experience and a great bottle.

We visited this amazing winery at the railroad station . Its at the amtrac station and has beatiful antique furniture and original decor. Sam the winemaker and owner and pours some tasty wine olive oils and vinegars. We loved the rose' white blend and zinpunk which she named for an anime group of wines.

Relaxing family friendly atmosphere. Comfortable indoor or outdoor seating. This place is our favorite!

This winery was exceptional! All the wines were excellent, and each served with a gourmet bite prepared by the owner. The tasting room and patio are lovely. Gracious service. Lovely selection of in-house flavored olive oils, vinegars, and salts.

As a fairly frequent visitor to Paso Robles, I try to make a point to visit a new Winery each trip. This trip, I stopped by Cypher Winery ... just outside of Downtown at the train station. Be warned ... Cypher is not Justin, Daou, Booker, or Tablas Creek (all wonderful wineries, with a formal approach to wine tasting). Cypher is a relaxed vibe. The wines are good, with some familiar blends and some unique blends, the service was good and the food that accompanied the wine tasting was nice and well paired. We were greeted and served by "Sam" the winemaker and owner of Cypher. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It has the vibe of visiting a friend of a friend, who is excited to show off her wines. Be warned that if the place gets busy, you might wait to be greeted and seated (even with a reservation), you might have to wait for a pour, and you might engage in conversations with Winery regulars and other guests. Just relax and go with the flow.

The wine blends are incredible. Each bouquet is its own delightful adventure. The combinations in these bottles are highly selected by the winemaker and it's apparent in the flavors. To top it off, the tasting room cultivates food pairings that make the wines pop. Had a stellar time learning from Jim so we will be back with regularity!!! 12/10 worth a long visit.

Stopped into this tasting room while waiting for my train in Paso Robles. Connor was an excellent tasting room host and the wine was remarkable. I especially enjoyed “The Fifth Element.”

Wooo What an awesome surprise! I left our first day kinda open since I didn't know what time we would be ready to start tasting. We were able to get a last minute reservation here and I'm so happy we did. Our host was so helpful and sweet We even learned that the Amtrak stops right by here! Next time I'm taking the train! All the wines were really nice and had such cool labels as an added cool factor. Tasting waived with 2 bottle purchase. Yes wines are a bit on the pricey side if you don't have a membership (and we don't) but I would I always prefer to leave with something in hand rather than paying for a tasting. I'll likely return

Sam (Susan) is the most personable owner. She's basically a renaissance woman: studied aviation, Earth Sciences, makes wine, cooks well, good with dogs and is really good with kids. We really appreciated her down-to-Earth personality and vast knowledge of everything. She was so kind to our party as well. Who's this woman's mother?! Thank you, Cypher. Oh, and great food and wine! We hope you go far. Get the Fifth Element wine!

We were passing through Paso Robles and decided to stop by here. It's located near a train station, with plenty of parking. There was nobody here but us when we came in. We had the best time and felt like we were sitting in someone's living room tasting the wine. Each pour came with a small bite that just enhanced the flavors. Connor was so great, kind, and accommodating (shoutout to a fellow nurse!!). We left with two bottles and can't wait to be back!

This place is a hidden gem. The location is a bit off the beaten path, however the wines are some of the best in the region. Everything we tasted was beautifully crafted with attention to details. The food parings are curated by the winemaker and are truly magnificent. Place is always welcoming and a fun experience over all.
