10/10. Amazing food and service. It's definitely an American version of Latin dishes but this Mexican approves! Chips with guacamole and salsa are always a must! And the salsas were delicious, unfortunately not spicy at all but very tasty. Our short rib meals were very savory. We also tried the pozole which did not disappoint.

Good cocktails. Food is not a favorite of ours. Wait staff become defensive when you question the food quality.

I have never been to a place that upcharged so blatantly and badly. We ordered a nacho ($20.50) and they didnt give us salsa, so we asked for some, and they brought us chips and salsa and charged us $3.00. No free chips and salsa for the table, no rice and beans with any plate (if you want them, it cost $8.00). They had a 4 street taco plate for $36 but you could only have all of them the same kind of meat. They have no chicken offered, it is all beef or seafood. There is a $2.00 cake cutting fee if you want dessert. The service wasn't even very good.

Fun vibe with good food. Service was exceptional too. We had a large party which this place easily can accommodate. We were well taken care of. As for food, we ordered the seared ahi street tacos. A little pricey for four tacos but they were good. We also ordered the chicken enchilada soup. A little too spicy for me. My buddy ordered a burrito and it was the biggest burrito I've seen. Food was all good, nothing excellent. Overall a good dining experience.

Skip the chips. That is the reason I am writing this review. I love this place, and we've been coming here for years when we visit Paso, but we ALWAYS make the mistake of getting the chips with 3 salsas. We fill up, and then when our delicious fish tacos arrive, we cannot finish them. We cannot even order dessert because we are full. Now that I got that off my chest, we love this restaurant and always look forward to dining here after a day of wine tasting. We love their cocktails, the service is always fantastic and the food is always spot on delicious. The atmosphere is lively and fun. We will be back and I hope I remember to skip the chips so I can fully enjoy my entree.

We arrived around 8pm and this place was still quite busy! I had the ahi quinoa salad and I really enjoyed it and our daughter had the ahi tacos and she enjoyed those as well. My husband had the nachos and they had a lot of drink options so my daughter convinced us to order her a virgin strawberry basil margarita... the place is quite busy and has a nice vibe to it. I think it would be nice to go back and try some additional items on the menu.

This is one of those places that appeals to tourists. "Inventive" menu that's predictably "edgy". Food is good, but tries too hard. Wagyu tartare loaded with ghost pepper hot sauce so that you don't taste a thing, it just burns.

Small food portions, weak drinks & way overpriced. Money Gauger! Don't waste your time or money on this place!

Great food and yummy cocktails (we went with tequila and mescal margaritas). The seafood dishes were fantastic including a swordfish special and the mahi that was full of flavor.

Really wanted to love this place but sadly disappointed with the food.Only thing we enjoyed was the short rib taco and the spice margaritas. The fish taco literally had one tiny bite of fish and a ton of vinegary slaw. We even asked for another one thinking it was a mistake but got the same thing again. The Guacamole really had no flavor and the Nachos were covered in “wagyu” that tasted like low end ground beef.

Fish Gaucho was recommended to us at one of the local wineries. We went on a Wednesday, and it was still quite busy. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was nice and helpful. I started with the Smoke Fire Blood cocktail. It's a mezcal base, but was nicely balanced with a little smokiness and just a hint of sweetness to balance the citrus. We got the chips and salsa trio. Chips were solid, and the salsas all very different. One was more of an avocado type. I ordered the halibut tacos. They are a street taco size. I added a bit of the salsa to spice them up, but the toppings were crunchy and fresh. While I did like them, the amount of fish was really small, so I probably wouldn't get them again. Had we not ordered chips, I probably would have left hungry. My husband got the ahi quinoa salad. If you think of a salad as lots of lettuce, this is not that, but it was very good. Unique textures and flavors throughout . Lots of tuna - much better value than the tacos. Overall it was good, and the restaurant is cute and lively. As far as prices though, it is on the higher side for similar places.

Good food and drinks, service is good at the bar.Recommend the happy hour menu as it is quite reasonably priced and especially the Ahi Crudo is delightful.

Was looking forward to some good Cali seafood. Service and staff firstly needs some help with simple courtesy, friendliness, making one feeling welcome. We did not. Margs were good. Halibut tacos were good just way overpriced for four tiny tacos. Halibut with deconstructed corn was a better dish.

A friend recommended I stop at Fish Gaucho for the "best diver scallop tacos you'll ever have" while I was visiting Paso Robles. When I arrived, the tacos were no longer on the menu, but I ordered the scallop entree instead, along with a delicious IPA. I was disappointed that 90% of the plate was covered in onions (I'm not a fan), and there was no mention of them on the menu. I spoke with a very friendly manager who was great and didn't charge me for the entree, or even a substitute dish- the octopus ceviche, which was tasty. Fantastic customer service. I'll be back again!
