Second time here and it was even better this time. Everything was exceptional. Need to book well in advance.

Was recommended this place for great food, and I can say I was not disappointed. Everything was delicious and I would definitely love to come back to try more menu items.

The food and service is amazing! If you are looking for a quiet meal-this is not the place. It was a little loud. But other wise-The Chilean Sea Bass and the Bucatini were both outstanding. We had the chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert and it's the best we have ever had. The cake was HOT and so moist and yummy. Totally will return if back in Paso Robles!

Magnificent food, skillfully prepared although the restaurant is a bit tight and can get loud when the crowd gets large - which is likely most of the time. Well worth the visit

As usual the food and service was outstanding. The celery/fennel soup and the special caprese/burrata salad were exceptional. The pork osso bucco is always special and should be added to the menu because it is a constant special. Our Server, Jason was professional and unobtrusive as it should be. The prices continue to climb but it is obviously labor intensive. Thank you to all the staff and kudos to the talented kitchen artists.

We have dined at Il Cortile on numerous occasions over the past 5 years and it never disappoints. The food selections with daily specials are all great, the wine list is comprehensive and the wait staff all you could ask for. A true gem in Paso Robles.

If you are looking for an imaginative menu, excellent food, a wine list with hundreds of offerings and first class service, go here and enjoy the experience.

We had a nice early dinner on New Years Eve. Emily was our server and she was very professional and helpful with our selections and service. The courtyard was covered and had a warming unit which helped in keeping us warm when we thought that the rainy weather was going to be a problem. Cheers to 2026!

This has been our go-to restaurant when in Paso Robles for several years. The food is outstanding and the wine list quite extensive. Tonight was difficult to say the least. Shortly after we started our meal a couple of women were seated next to us and THEY engaged us in conversation, asking where we were from, where we were staying, etc. At some point our server, Emily, asked them, loud enough for us to hear, if we were bothering them!?!?! Really? We continued dining and ordered desert and a couple of after dinner drink Amaros. My husband then asked for another Amaro and was told he could not have it. No explanation, just NO! We were not in any way impaired. We are 76 years old and are quite familiar with fine dining and appropriate etiquette. This was completely uncalled for and embarrassing. We will not be back.

I have never had anything bad at this place. Its worth every penny. Both special and casual.

We returned to Il Cortile on the 26th while visiting Paso for Thanksgiving, and once again it was outstanding. All four of us were delighted with our dishes. I tried their new spaghetti with bottarga—where the bottarga is served on the side for you to add as you wish—and it was phenomenal. Truly the best spaghetti I've ever had. The previous version was already delicious, but this one is on an entirely different level. Everything we ordered—from the grilled octopus to the Bolognese—was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. We were even tempted to go back again before leaving town. Il Cortile delivered yet another memorable meal, and that dish is something I won't forget.

We had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time. Our table was in a heated patio—high noise level, not as charming as the inside. Our server was not on top of it. He did not ask us if we wanted a cocktail (or something to drink) before dinner. I had to order my drink with our dinner order. My Manhattan arrived with my salad—not ideal, for sure. The food was excellent, however. It was my birthday, which was noted on my reservation. But there was on acknowledgment—not even a free coffee. Oh well.

Excellent service! Amazing food! My new favorite central coast restaurant. We started with their scallops appetizer which was delicious (Cooked perfectly) and Caprese salad. We ordered a steak and a beef lasagna as entrees which were both exceptional. This is a small restaurant and reservations book up fast. It reminds me of the best NYC neighborhood restaurants. A bit loud but with a special, warm atmosphere due the staff service.

Wonderful dinner in downtown Paso. We sat at the bar and enjoyed getting to know Crystal at the bar and a couple of locals. Owner was on site and enjoyed watching her style and interaction with staff. Osso Bucco was one for the books with the best ever risotto. Thank you for a memorable dinner.

This was one of the best Italian meals we have had in years. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. On top of all that they were gracious enough to seat us even though we came in about 15 minutes before they were to close. Just a really classy place that we highly recommend.
