Indigené is a must visit in Paso Robles! It is the one of two wineries I’ve ever been to where I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every single wine on the tasting menu. Raymond is an über talented winemaker and blend master, who often is there to greet you and walk you through his many different wines. His reds are big, complex, and oh so delicious. The tasting room itself is cozy with an urban flair, and the music adds to the chill, cool ambiance.
TL;DR: do not skip Indigené Cellars!
The service is exceptional along with their wines selection
Hidden gem of a tasting room in the heart of Paso RoblesIf you're walking on the sidewalks, you will miss this one unless you keep a sharp eye for signs pointing to it. This wineries tasting room is a small but cozy room with the entrance opening on a parking area. Next door to Jeffrey s Wine Country BBQ.The counter service here is friendly and informative. Their tasting flight makes it really difficult to pick just one varietal. I bought five bottles, this being the only white wine. I never buy white wine or rosé. This one changed all that.Their Rozanne Pinot Noir Rosé is the only white wine I will drink. I bought only one bottle of that to bring home and four others of their traditional Pinot Noirs that I tasted and really enjoyed! I will update this post once I open those bottles.I have checked at another large chain here that sells wine and more. They don't carry it so it looks like a road trip is in order to restock on the Rosé. I might need to sign up for the wine club on this one. ?. Ship it to me, please and thank you!
Great tasting and amazing people who work here!! Definitely worth stopping by if you can!!
iindigené Cellars was amazing! Every. single wine I tasted was exceptional. They were friendly making my visit warm and welcoming. I can't wait to return.
The winemaker Raymond Smith was pouring when I went on Friday, March 31. My group was fortunate to have him do the tasting that night. It was a pleasure to have the winemaker there to explain the wines, share the stories behind some of the blends, and to just talk to an interesting human being.Ask about the philanthropy that Indigine does through some of their wines. It was an incredible experience. Discovered and purchased 6 bottles. Look forward to returning next time I’m in Paso.
One of our favorite places in Paso! Grab a bottle of Sangiovese, it's specular! Learn about Paso & Monterey Wines in the alley with Raymond for an incredible time! Cheers!
Best wine of the trip. Great space and very knowledgeable staff
Small pour house for an incredible winery! One of the only (if not THE only) Black owned winery in Paso Robles. Great experience, Ray will make his way around the tasting room and make sure every person is enjoying their wine and feeling at home.
Great find! Raymond was such a great host and "teacher"! I'm looking forward to getting my wine club shipment and going back to taste more delish wines. Don't wait make an appt today to visit and taste...and join the club!!

Great place, fantastic wine, Raymond is one cool guy!
Super fun. Laid back and knowledgeable. Great vibe and they let us bring our own cheese!
All of the wines we tasted were amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend that you stop by Indigene Cellars when you are within 50 miles of Paso Robles.
We highly recommend Indigene Cellars for its wines, customer service, and vibe when visiting their tasting room. Raymond is an amazing host and always ready to pour some of their great tasting wine. Every visit to the tasting room is guaranteed fun and laughter.
This is such a wonderful winery. We had a group from newbie wine drinkers to people that travel with wine in mind. We had a fantastic time. Ray show cased wonderful wines that were as friendly and approachable as he is. Yet they also showed off his skill and mastery of wine making with each wine having beautiful layered depth.
