First time in Paso Robles. J Lohr is a wine we can buy back home, so stopped in for a tasting. Geraldine was a great wine educator. She shared with us many great wines and the location of the vineyards from cooler Monterey to hotter Paso areas. You can choose from a seasonal or a legacy flight of 5 wines. Let me just say, go for the higher priced legacy flight-the wines are fantastic!
We enjoyed ourselves & bought several bottles to take back with us.

We've been J. Lohr fans for 35+ years so were excited to visit with our now adult children, who also love the wines. Unfortunately our experience was tainted by the cranky woman at the front desk, who berated us for her (inaccurate) assumption that we'd made a duplicate reservation, which we hadn't. The wine and the individual who did our pourings were good (he was friendly & well informed), but unfortunately all J. Lohr will be remembered for is her bad behaviour. The site itself is mediocre compared to others in the area and on a public street (noisy traffic) so I’d suggest other wineries over this one. We will definitely not be back.

Beautiful winery. Jessica was so knowledgeable about her passion for wine that my education grew. Dogs were accepted with open arms on the patio treated with biscuits and water. Upscale tasting of wines, water served in glass cups, which makes the experience more elegant.

Jasmine is such an asset to the wine tasting room! She has such a depth of knowledge and was an amazing host for our tasting. We were so privileged to have her and taste the spectrum of J Lohr wines. Thank you again and we look forward to our next visit!

Geraldine was the highlight of our entire trip! We have had the chance to experience wine tastings in Italy and all throughout California and this was hands down the best wine tasting experience we have ever had.

Highly recommend this winery. Fantastic history and wonderful wines. Geraldine was a most gracious host and a wealth of knowledge. Encourage visitors to order the charcuterie board...pair it with your wines. Our party of 4 had a fantastic visit.

We had an outstanding tasting experience at J Lohr. They were extremely knowledgeable and had a wide selection of nice wines. Jennifer went far beyond our expectations and even gave us lots of helpful recommendations for our trip through wine country. I have only good things to say about this winery and would highly recommend.

Such a great experience! Our host Geraldine is very knowledgeable and friendly and hilarious. We ended up with the 2022 October Night Chardonnay and the Vista Chardonnay. I am a philistine when it comes to wine and I normally don't like whites, but they are delicious!! I feel like I got a good wine education and a great deal!

This is a very large winery as a business and many people may not consider visiting. That would be a mistake. Like many other large wineries J Lohr also has some unique, small release wines that taste a lot different from the grocery store fair. We were hosted by Ariane who took very good care of us. Some sips and a lot of conversation later we left very please with our experience. She was knowledgeable, attentive and engaged in the process. Of course it helps we came on a Monday. On weekend one is bound to find large parties drinking a lot and demanding. Not good for those who like to talk. I am glad we came and recommend

Great range of wines, white and red, and we were heavily recommended by many folks about J. Lohr. Overall wine tasting experience was excellent, friendly and helpful folks. We did the Legacy and Winter Seasonal indoors as it was cold 1st week of January, yes both tastings and they were amazing. Our group loved the remodel of the indoor wine tasting room as we have tried to go in the past and they did a wonderful job.Took a picture of the menu of the Winter Seasonal. Hope that helps anyone, seasonal was 20 dollars and Legacy was 40? (I think). 2 bottle purchases wipe the tasting fee as in most places. Always recommend to reserve ahead of time. If you join the wine club and live further north, you can also align with the San Jose location for pickups of your wine!Other tips, it was baby friendly. Parking was easy, right off the main road. They didn't have a charcuterie board, but maybe that was due to 1st week of January, but maybe check. Go, visit, and enjoy the great wine of J.Lohr!!!
