Driving through Paso Robles we came here in the recommendation of a gentleman in town. The place is a family run restaurant and I had high hopes for the food. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The enchiladas and the tamales lacked flavor. I had the Menudo which was well made and flavorful. I would not call this authentic Mexican food but Tex Mex. They are altering their recipes to appear their patrons palettes. All in all disappointing. Would give it a miss.
This is my wife's and my second time dining here and the food was great as the first time. Our young server during today's visit was very impersonal. From bringing our food to the last time she came to our table was to bring our check. The older waitress who seated us was very pleasant. Hoping this was just an off day for our younger server. Thank you La Mexicana
This place is a steady family favorite. The owners are hands-on and jovial. The vibe of the dining room is open, colorful, and happy. Their kitchen stays open later than most restaurants in the area, so that enough is to earn our business. 🥰 😊
