What a great tasting experience! Maddox knows the background of the caves and all of the wines. This had some of the best wines on our trip to Paso Robles!
Always a good showing at L'Aventure.
If you like Rhone and Bordeaux blends, this is the place. Thanks to Vance for a wonderful afternoon.
We spent a week in Paso Robles. During our visit, we enjoyed the L'Aventure wines and the relaxing atmosphere on the patio. Our hostess was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. We tasted three wines, while other wineries in the area offered five. Also, each of the other wineries offered a pour of a special wine they were offering that was not on the list. They also provided a second pour of a particular wine on the list if you asked for it.
L'Aventure offered none of those extras. I believe they could have been more generous with folks who made the trip to visit there in person. It's just good business. In that sense the experience was slightly disappointing. I'm not sure if I will keep them on my list for our next visit to the area.
I’m rating the wine tasting experience not their wines. Lovely place although the ambiance in the tasting area is too cold, they serve in lovely tumblers (but I believe you need to taste wine ‘properly’ in stemware. The pours are small, no re-tastes and it’s on the high end of PR’s tasting fees ($50); waived but only with two bottles of red ($100 up). Lovely wines and creative blends that work.
Had an amazing experience drinking wonderful older wines in the cave with Maddox who was great! Just a beautiful place! We'll be back the next time we're in Paso!
Great wines with a beautiful site. Leanne gives an amazing presentation with not only the history of the owner/wine maker and vineyards but the cave expansion, as well. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend visiting L'Aventure !
This last Monday we had an excellent experience at the L'Aventure. LeAnne was our hostess and she was hilarious to talk with. Extremely knowledgeable about the history of Stefan and his winery and all his wines. We had visited the winery about 10 years ago and it is still great. The wines are a little more than others in the area but for our palate, you get what you pay for.
And as an aside we would highly recommend a dinner at Les Petites Canailles. Stefan's son Julien is the owner-chef and does a fantastic job. In our travels this past last year, definitely one of the best dinners we have experienced.
What a lovely place! The wine, of course, is amazing. But most important, the staff is wonderful and warm and friendly, and extremely informative. Maddux was a very attentive host, and had incredible knowledge of the history of the property. And so friendly to our dog, too! We will be back!
As always, We had a wonderful experience at L’Aventure! Wines were superb and Olivia was an excellent hostess! She was very knowledgeable about the wines and the entire wine region. Also we were given a tour of their spectacular wine caves. We had a fantastic time! Thank you Olivia

Amazing sparkling tasting experience with LeAnn! We will be back! They are wine purists here, make it your first stop of the day, so worth it!
Great venue and great wines. We had a very enjoyable time tasting the Optimus (our fave), Cote a Cote, and Estate Cuvée. Be sure to check out the prehistoric whale bones, which were found on the property. Amazing, right?
