Food was decent, but the value for breakfast is not good. Coffee is SEVEN dollars, a bottle of beer here is 6 for comparison. Only 1 piece of toast with my omelet? The place was ok, but I felt like I was being nickled and dimed. I was able to walk down the street and get Amazing coffee for $3

I have to admit I was not expecting to become of a fan . My sister invited me to some breakfast for her “remojo” celebrating her new Tesla …
So I obliged (teehee)
The owners were very friendly ( they chatted for a while , befored & after we ate) Unlike other business they, by no means, practice price gouging!
They also gave us 3 complimentary glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice !
If you’re passing by or visiting Paso Robles give them a try !
You will not be disappointed.

The best fresh coffee and freshly made all-natural orange juice, pleasant atmosphere and excellent service directly from its owners Cesar and Perla.

The food was as authentic as it gets! I’ve never been served such delicious chilaquiles (Red, and green). They were fresh, the tortillas were crispy but moist at the same time, the sauce was exactly like I ordered (spicy). The egg was also made to order, crispy like I love them. The meat was a whole experience! it was tender, well marinated, and juicy. The chorizo was meaty and perfectly spiced. My flan was amazing, I ate a little at a time so I could saviour the dessert longer. It was garnished with a dark chocolate that paired perfectly with the sweet flan. They listened to my request and delivered 110%. y’all will see me there often.

Overall food was good, but our server couldn't seem to get anything right. We did have a larger group, but we made a reservation so they should have expected us. Things were forgotten. 1 girl's salad was ordered with dressing on the side, but it came all tossed together. A diet coke was ordered but never arrived. Someone added bacon to their entre and we were charged twice. Overall, food good but service was subpar.

Meeting a friend for breakfast and we decided to try Monarca, as we are always looking for something good locally. This was a hit. The waitress brought ice water right away and then coffee which was delicious. We talked about being more adventurous but both ended up ordering the same thing. I had ham and eggs with sourdough toast and fruit instead of hash browns or home fries. She had the same except with home fries. The eggs were done perfectly and just as we asked. Her potatoes were very good as was my fruit dish. The waitress asked several times if we wanted more coffee but was not overbearing. One thing I noticed upon arrival which doesn’t affect the food at all but the coffee cups and water glasses were beautifully imprinted in gold with the Monarca logo. Just a little extra. We sat at our table for almost two hours catching up and never felt like we were being pushed to leave. I will order more adventurously next time. The chilaquiles and eggs Benedict looked wonderful. In addition, the prices were extremely reasonable. I’m having lunch there next week!

When eating out for breakfast atmosphere, quality of food, kindness and coffee are staples of authenticity and Monarca Restaurant hits all the marks!

The coffee is rich in aroma and body. You can definitely taste the difference and they offer FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice!

Secret Menu: Chilaquilles Divorciados (Divorced Chilaquilles) - If your a fan of both green and red sauce Chilaquilles you can have the best of both worlds at Monarca. The divorced steak Chilaquilles are amazing and that orange salsa is ?!

Located in the center of downtown Paso, facing the city park, free easy parking, welcoming simple decor, and very good friendly service. I had the carne asada which came with rice, beans, french fries, avocado, and tortillas. The food was nicely plated, fresh, and generous portions. Despite the pluses I found the meal very bland, with almost no taste of Mexican food. There are four or five other restaurants with a similar menu nearby, all of which I prefer.
