Me and my husband are visiting Paso Robles, we went to Monarca to try some food today and my husband asked to server Annie for a recommendation and we decide to eat shrimp tacos and they were really good. The Orange juice was fresh and natural, I loved it. The server was nice with us.

I think Monarca deserves so much more than just 5 stars. The team is friendly and the food is always a hit. This is our 4th visit this year and we always go for our favorite chilaquiles as do our kids. We’re always greeted like family and best of all there’s always enough space for our little family to really enjoy a nice meal. Thank you monarca!

We went here pursuing fresh squeezed OJ after a long night out. We were a party of 7. Beverages were excellent some of the food we order was good others were not. I ordered the surf & turf skillet & the shrimp were pungent. I bit into one & it had a fishy taste. I proceeded to let the server know that they should check them before serving to other guest. They did not compensate me for the shrimp. Also, my friend who was celebrating her bday, whom is about 120lbs was sitting in a chair when one of the front legs collapsed. Not at all did they try to accommodate this fall besides wiping the table off from where she spilled her drink. Not great empathy for guests in my opinion.

We are a group of 7 adults and 2 kids enjoying weekend gateway in Paso Robles. We have kids in the party and it’s a huge party so we were looking for restaurants take reservation and we decided on this one. Reservation was confirmed via text and email. BOTH. 5 mins before the reservation time, restaurant called and said the restaurant is full now and they cannot seat us, stating they have some sort of system issue. Are you kidding me?????
Food does look good but if this is the way you serve people, no way. Think twice before deciding to make reservation with this place.

Made a large party reservation at 9:30am on 5/4. The restaurant confirmed via both text and email. Got the phone call from the restaurant at 9:25am saying they cannot accommodate us. Such a MESS!!! We have 2 kids in the group and totally delayed our upcoming schedule. AVOID the restaurant
We made a reservation for 7 people at 9:30, only to receive a call at 9:25 from the restaurant informing me that they couldn’t accommodate us at all. This level of last-minute notice is unacceptable and reflects poor management and a lack of respect for guests’ time.

Very very small portions. The omelette was very small. There’s no way it was a three egg omelette. The mimosa was the smallest I’ve ever been served. Not a good value and mediocre food

Checked in 10:15am it's already11: 10am. still waiting for food... it's already lunch time.. low staff all people eating already leaving made a reservation.. passing 1 hour ... for pancake fries yogurt and chilaquiles... you will have to wait... Why rate it so high people...
Update food arrived 5 minutes after the first section review.. food is bare fancy smancy.. you'll get a better flavor from a food truck. I was hoping with that wait time that the food will win us over sorry but no.

We came her for breakfast while passing through Paso Robles. I had a vegetarian breakfast burrito and my husband had a carne asada burrito. Both of us really enjoyed our entrees. The burritos were super flavorful and fresh, large portions. The inside of the restaurant is small and quaint. Service was quick and friendly.

Best breakfast in town. Cesar the owner came out and greeted us himself. If you’re looking for good breakfast at a reasonable prize Monarca Restaurant Downtown. Divorced Chilaquiles Highly recommend.
