We tasted 4 outstanding 2021 wines. Russell Family Vineyard was 100% syrah, the other 3 were blends of Sarah, Mourvedre and Grenache. All rated 93 to 94 points. Glenn, the Tasting Room manager is extremely well versed on wines from many countries and I'd say an expert on Paso Robles wines. Very happy with our Tasting and thrilled to be Club members!

We dropped into Nicora on a recommendation from Gary Irvin. I am so glad we did! Nick’s wines are absolutely amazing. I buy all I can and I have to say, this guy knows how to make wine. I am a big fan of Rhone varietals and nothing this guy makes has disappointed; of course, some are better than others, I am particularly fond of GSM, my wife SGM. He also makes some single vineyard Syrahs that are great too! Nicora has been my favorite winery for the last 2-3 years and we buy quite a bit of wine ~400 bottles/year. Try it, you’ll LOVE it!

The wines are OUTSTANDING! Glenn, Evan and Shea treated us like family from the first impromptu drop in visit to the Tasting Room to the very end of our tasting. Nick Elliot is one of Paso's most talented winemakers and he's offering great value AND superior quality. Simply stated, you never get an ordinary bottle from Nicora. His single varietals are outstanding and the blends are out of this world. These are all showing very well, and will only get better with a little time. We had not visited Nicora before and were quite impressed! The friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially the on-site Sommelier Evan, was great for starters. But the wine. . . my, my, my! The Bien Nacido Syrah was absolutely riveting. Gorgeous texture, astonishingly rich dark fruit on the mid-palate, and a long finish just leaves one wanting more! We also tried a GSM blend that was very, very nice. Thanks Nick!!!
We had a very nice visit to Nicora. The wines were excellent, especially the syrahs. So much so that we joined the winery. We are Napa valley cab fans but becoming a big fan of Paso syrahs. Nicora has had some of the very best we've had. (We ended up becoming members). Tin City is really quite nice and the staff there took really good care of us. Looking forward to visiting again.
