Always a crowd pleaser...Oso Libre never disappoints! A great atmosphere with an amazing view and terrific wines. Chris & Linda do a GREAT job! Shout out to Melissa, our tasting guide, for a great experience!
Very good wines in a beautiful setting. Occasionally there are animals grazing in the field or through the vines.
The wine was good however the customer service was lacking. We were told that due to 7 of us there was a $10 service fee per person. However one in our party was a member so Robbie stated over the phone that the fee would be reduced to $5 per person which we agreed to. Didn’t like that as 3 of us live in Paso and we weren’t a typical large group on a tour. After the tasting I went to pay and since only 4 tastings were comped for the member I paid for mine and the service fee. He now said only 4 of the tastings got the $5 so I reluctantly paid a $10 service charge. Comparing receipts made us question everything we were charged. After someone else joined he said he was waiving all the tasting fees which would have only been two. It was just so disappointing all around. I’m surprised at the lack of care to locals especially since we were the only group at the winery almost the entire time we were there. In addition they advertise there are SIP certified which they are not. Our second winery just down the road made our day turn up after this experience.
Visited Oso during a time when it was slow (January mid-afternoon). I was with my family (6 adults and 3 kids) for my dad’s birthday. We visited because they took walk-ins and it looked beautiful. However, they stated that for a party of our size, we needed to pay $10 for each adult plus $5 for kids. This was not a minimum purchase but an additional fee on top of the purchases/tastings we were planning to do. We did not feel it was worth the additional charge considering we planned to have a minimum of 6 tastings (at $25 each). I was disappointed by this “new policy”. We decided to try a different winery and were delighted when Opolo accommodated our party with no additional fees and wonderful service.
Wonderful service, beautiful spot, and delicious wine. Robbie was so helpful, attentive, and told us so much about the wine. Great experience!
Beautiful place and the burgers were fabulous...
Booked the reserve tasting with another couple and our kids. Had a nice private room to taste some delicious wines with the help of the winemaker. A highlight of our Paso Robles trip!
Had a good chat with Michael (I think that was his name) the wine maker during our tasting
Oso Libre defines the art of wine making and wine tasting. Everything about this winery is first class.

Some of our favorite Californian reds!
Stop here for more than the wine. The property is outstanding and you may even see wildlife, the service is terrific and the owner is friendly and welcoming, they also sell beef and it is great quality.
Enjoyed the wine and the scenery. Dog friendly.
