I have been coming here for a little over a year and religiously order the black garlic oil ramen sub chicken instead of the pork. I never had any issues with it up until 3 or so months ago. I took my friend with me to try the ramen I get and the chicken was slimy and inedible, the waitress apologized and said there’s a new chef who cooks the chicken different. It’s disgusting. I gave a few months break and thought I’d give it a try again. I go in to get the same ramen I always get sub chicken but I guess it was still made the same so I kept the pork which comes with it instead. About half way through eating my ramen I see 2 hairs in the ramen. I know they weren’t mine cause I have very long curly hair and the waitress has lighter brown long hair also. I saw the chef for a brief second and he matched the hair in the food. He did not have a hair net on which is very disturbing. It makes me wonder how much of his hair has fallen into other dishes and people don’t realize it. As much as I loved this place before, I don’t think I can give it any more chances. On the other hand I love the waitress there, she’s always very welcoming and does her job well!

Got there at 8:29 and were turned away by a rude employee who said “I just closed the door”. Both the sign by the door and the door said they are open until 9, and I even called when we were on the way down to Paso to double check.

Rounded out a weekend trip to Paso at Ramen @805 since we were craving soup and comfort food. Didn’t have the highest of expectations given that Paso isn’t exactly known for authentic Japanese and Korean food but the ramen here was surprisingly great and the bibimbap was authentic with huge portions. Naruto would approve of this ramen and for a fusion Japanese/Korean restaurant, don’t pass it up if you’re looking for something soul warming after a day of wine tasting!

Server was so nice,
Was just walking by decided to try it without checking reviews. It was great, Black Garlic Oil and bulgogi. Ramen was flavorful, added pork rib for $4.50 was cooked perfectly.

Will definitely be stopping here again

Black garlic broth was fantastic and the noodles were perfect! Service was also top notch and the entire meal was very enjoyable. Will definitely be back to try out the Japchae and other Korean dishes!

A nice easy spot for Ramen in Paso. The staff were nice and the food wasn’t bad. They have one main dish which is vegan and a couple of simple appetizers which are vegan. I wish they had more vegan options available.

Very busy location but I am glad to see it because the food was sooo good! On the day we went there were only 2 wait staff for over a dozen tables, so service was a little slow. But once food got there no one cared because it was all delicious. We each ordered Miso ramen, regular and spicy. We loved the marinated soy egg and tasty slices of pork. The broth and noodles are of very high quality. Generous portions! Tempura shrimp were crunchy and juicy. Looks like they have a good beer list as well ! Will definitely be back!

We recently visited Ramen 805 and had high hopes based on its charming interior and initial presentation. We ordered the Pork Rib Spicy Miso Ramen and the Tonkotsu Ramen. While the portions were spot on and the presentation was visually appealing, the overall experience left much to be desired.
Food:
The Spicy Miso Ramen was overly oily, which completely overpowered the broth. This made the noodles bland, as the oil prevented the broth from sticking to them. The corn tasted canned, which didn’t help the flavor profile. On the bright side, the seaweed absorbed the broth and provided a nice touch, but the broth itself was lacking in flavor, making it hard to salvage the dish.
The Tonkotsu Ramen had better broth flavor, but the lack of toppings (due to no eggs being available) left the dish feeling incomplete. A substitute for the missing toppings would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, the excessive oil in this dish also left the noodles tasting bland.
For the prices—$23 for the Spicy Miso Ramen and $17 for the Tonkotsu—the quality simply wasn’t there.
Service:
Service was disappointing. During our 45-minute visit, our table was only checked on twice, and our drinks were never refilled. Despite being the second customers in the restaurant, it took 30 minutes to receive our food, and we watched the group that arrived after us receive and finish their meals before ours even arrived. The restaurant had only one chef and one server, which was clearly not sufficient for the level of business. Additionally, the staff needed to be more attentive to diners.
Atmosphere:
The interior is lovely—a cozy and inviting ramen house. It’s clear the owners have a great vision for this place, but unfortunately, the execution isn’t there yet.
Overall:
While Ramen 805 has potential, the experience was marred by poor service, overly oily and bland ramen, and steep prices that don’t match the quality. I give it 2/5 stars for the portions, presentation, and atmosphere, but the food and service need significant improvement

I had a Sapporo beer and the Shoyu ramen. Ramen was 99% noodle in a milky looking broth. Not appealing to look at and not much better to eat. The two thin pork slices in the broth were very fatty and there was not an easy way to eat around the fat. A tiny sprinkling of greens were included in the broth along with two small strips of bean sprout. The taste was very salty and overall disappointing.

Might be nice if anyone ever greeted me there, tried it twice, not busy, could see staff chatting in the kitchen, stood at the bar, but no one ever came out to take my order.
