When we arrived there was not that many people and there was much room for our party when we asked for a group tasting the gentleman who spoke to us told us it was only reservations but we checked the website prior to arriving and it was ok for walk in if there is room. But in the end we got an amazing hostess who helped us a lot and was very kind. While the gentleman that first helped us was very hostile, like he didn’t want to serve us.
My wife and I enjoyed the grape to glass tasting experience, and I must say it was incredible. We are by no means a sommelier, actually quite far from it, but we certainly feel much closer after this experience. Our guide, Jacqui, was so entertaining, insightful and all around amazing person to lead us through such an experience. She taught us about truly every step of the process from the grape to the glass(es) we enjoyed and lead us through the process as it unfolds on the grounds of the winery all while sprinkling in some history of the winery in particular and wine making in general.
I have purposefully remained silent on the wines themselves, as each individual will form their own impressions. However, I found them all to be particularly fabulous. Again, Jacqui really helped us explore by offering exemplary food pairings and explaining how each flavor was enhanced by the other.
This was our first winery visit, and our first visit to Paso Robles, but after visiting several other wineries throughout Paso and a few in Napa, I can say that Jacqui and Robert Hall were far and away our favorite experience. If you are looking to learn more about wine tasting and wine making, I cannot recommend this experience enough.
My wife and I had a great Sunday afternoon at the Robert Hall Winery. So many great wines that are different than what you might get at
your favorite restaurant. Are server Kelly was great. I really loved the Grenache. The wine maker Amanda is crushing it. So many great wineries in Paso but this should be on your list.
Cheers
It was our first time reserving a wine tasting in Paso Robles. I’m happy we chose Robert Hall Winery our host Amy was very knowledgeable and from the area. My husband and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. It was very quiet, romantic and beautiful views. At the end of our tasting they even gave us a card wishing us a happy anniversary. That was so sweet of them to do. Thank you ladies for a wonderful time.
Always a great wine and friendly experience!!!
We have lived in Paso Robles for several years. Robert Hall is an anchor winery in town that always is pleasant to visit and attracts some of the best staff in town. The 2024 Cinsault forward rose is one of the best we have tasted in Paso in the last 5 years.
We recently visited Robert Hall Winery with high hopes, as we'd heard good things about their wines. Unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired.
Upon our arrival with kids in strollers, we expected at least a welcoming atmosphere where we could enjoy a quick glass of wine. However, we were met with a tone from the staff that was less than accommodating. It seemed clear that families with young children weren't particularly welcomed here, and this was quite disappointing.
After a long day of travel, we were simply looking forward to enjoying a brief moment of relaxation before heading home. Instead, we left feeling brushed aside. It's these moments that remind us why we love supporting smaller, family-friendly wineries that appreciate all their patrons and understand the dynamics of family outings.
In a world where inclusivity should be the norm, we hope Robert Hall Winery considers adapting their approach to accommodate all visiting families in the future.
Beautiful Vinery - I have been to vineries in Europe, Australia, and NA, this one is as pretty as any of them. Very relaxing. It is also conveniently located off 46 Freeway. Great stop if you are passing through Paso Robles.
If you’re looking for a wine experience that’s equal parts bold, beautiful, and unforgettable, Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles is calling your name. Nestled in the heart of California’s Central Coast, this award-winning winery blends rustic charm with refined elegance—and it all starts with the wine.
Known for its full-bodied reds and crisp, refreshing whites, Robert Hall’s Estate Vineyard is rooted in sustainable practices and a deep passion for craft. Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhône-style blends are standouts, but don’t sleep on the Chardonnay or Rosé either—they’re sunshine in a glass.
Beyond the wine, the tasting experience is something special. Think panoramic vineyard views, underground wine caves, and a welcoming vibe that makes you feel like family. Whether you’re wine tasting on the patio, enjoying a picnic with friends, or catching live music during one of their events, every visit feels like a little escape.
Paso Robles has over 200 wineries, but Robert Hall stands out by honoring tradition while pushing boundaries. So next time you’re in wine country, don’t just pass through—stop, sip, and stay a while.
It was our first time tasting in Paso Robles and overall it was fun but pretentious compared to Napa or Sonoma. Robert Hall had good wines and our sommelier was really nice but it was strange to have to wait when it was practically empty in tasting room.

Standout winery on the Central Coast! Love their innovative approach to winemaking, combining traditional techniques with holistic farming methods. Exceptional staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft.
A must-visit for wine lovers seeking a unique & memorable experience!
Definitely make reservations, they refused to seat one person on a random Monday afternoon
