The coffee and atmosphere are great but the service needs to improve. The newer baristas are too slow and inefficient. The baristas that have been there for several years are great. I’ve visited Spearhead Coffee twice now, and both times the wait was surprisingly long. On my most recent visit, I stood in line for about 15–20 minutes just to place an order, and then waited another 10–12 minutes for my drink. I completely understand that independent coffee shops take a bit more time than big chains like Starbucks or Peet’s—and I actually prefer local spots for that reason. But the wait here felt excessive and, unfortunately, just not worth it.

It was a busy morning with a long line but they were quick to get the drinks out and the staff was super friendly. I like to get a drip and a specialty coffee when I visit a spot so I went with the horchata cold brew and the house drip. The drip coffee was fresh and tasty. The cold brew was strong and had a hint of cinnamon. They roast their own beans so you know the coffee is going to be as fresh as it can get.
