Expensive but good quality. Note that if you go during prime time call ahead and order online or by phone so you can just pick it up otherwise there can be a long wait as this is a popular location.

Well we're do I start. Not much of a sushi place felt like a Cafeteria ordered up at the counter and paid first no prices on menu. I can get past this if the food was good. But that Being said the food was terrible! The Worst I ever had. I've been a sushi fan for 40 years. Ordered 4 different types of nigeri sushi and 3 sushi rolls. All The sushi rolls Phil apart before you even pick them up it. was terrible. The Mexican roll was the size of a Burrito deep fried in Fell apart You could not eat it with chopsticks. Each piece of the role was 4 times bigger than what you could put in your mouth. It looked like it blew up in the deep fryer way to much rice. Oh and the rice on everything was mush like Instant rice that's been sitting all day in a wet pan. Sushi means vinegar rice .... no vinegar. I thought The nigeri sushi would be pretty easy to do. But it had a racquetball size piece of rice. With little fish. Not sure what you could call this place. But it's not a sushi restaurant by far. Buyers beware

I have been going to this place 15+ years now and I noticed a couple months ago the staff was all new and I noticed that the condiments were way less than before, and the roll slices were thicker. I went today and I ask for thinner slice and extra wasabi. when I returned to my work I found the slices were thinner but there was only a dab of wasabi on the side of the container. and the salad was only a tiny portion. so i called them to express my concerns. I explained that I can see a difference in the food since it has a new owner, and that the slice was thinner but I had ask for extra wasabi and only got a dab. the gentleman said it was the same owner, and I said that what ever changes they made I can tell things are not the same and that I wasn't happy with the changes and the fact that I did not get my extra wasabi. I have never had that happen I made the call to inform them of my experience so they could improve but instead got the phone slammed in my ear. its sad because I really liked the place for so long and now I can not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is not good at all. I do not recommend. It's overpriced and I am not sure you can call what they offer sushi. Plenty of other places in town to eat sushi.

Stopped by for dinner for some sushi. When you walk in you order at the counter. Their portions are quite large and you can easily share with someone. We ordered the Dynamite, Dragon and California roll. All sushi rolls come with a salad, ginger and wasabi. For the non special sushi's they add a sauce on top. I wish I would have known or they would mentioned it because my little one was no happy when it came out. So we had to order a second one without the sauce. The ambiance is ok. They feature colorful pieces and have a tv near for some of the tables. It was kinda stuffy inside, I wish it was a bit more cooler inside. Walking distance from the Courtyard by Marriott and near the 101 exit and offers ample parking.

Fresh, ample, tasty. Admittedly, I started out at the grocery store, apparently the sushi guy doesn't make fresh rolls on Wed. So, I drove over the bridge. Glad I did, brought home a delicious (& large) Rainbow Roll with about 1/4 cup of pickled ginger on the side.

Sushi Kokku on first street was really good. We stopped in to order food to go. The young man who took our order was so nice and patient with us as we decided what to get. The chef was very nice too and made our food fast. The Dynamite roll was, well... DYNO-MITE!!!!! I got the Alaska roll too and is was great. My wife had some sashimi and she said it was very fresh and delicious. This place is very casual and an excellent choice for a quick sushi meal that is great quality and flavor.
