Hidden in quaint "Norma's Alley" between 12th & 13th Sts., aptly named Taste in the Alley feels like you're in someone's home, with wine experts serving up the best wines not only from the Paso Robles AVA's, but other areas as well. A curated selection, moderately priced and seamlessly presented by Kitty and Larry, it's a pleasant evening and lovely place to enjoy a bottle of wine. A friendly group of locals and visitors alike make this a hidden gem one not to be missed! Be sure to check their hours online before stopping by...

This is one of my favorite places in Paso. Great prices & I always meet new people who are discovering it for the 1st time. I wish they were open more days & had later hours.

Kitty and Larry are seriously the best! Very knowledgeable and friendly and they craft a personal tasting experience for you based in your tastes! Amazing wine selection (over 200 wines) and excellent prices!! We had such a wonderful experience here and met amazing people - if you are local make sure to join the newcomer group too! We would give 10 stars if we could!

I have absolutely no idea how this place is but we tried to come two different days that they claimed to be open and even called with zero response. I wish we would have been able to try it but it just wasn't in the stars. Little frustrating because even if it wasn't a normal day they're closed, it would be nice to know on the voicemail so we wouldn't try again since it was recommended from someone. If we're back in a Paso, maybe we'd try again.

Ray was pouring wine and dropping knowledge. Since the room isn't affiliated w any one winery we got a nice sample of some local options and we ended up visiting the ones we liked. Plus it was a hot day and the AC was cranking which made our visit even better

What an amazing find in Paso Robles. They have limited hours, but it's SO worth the wait!!! An incredible selection of wines from the Central Coast and the world! It is a wine lovers paradise! Make sure you ask for Kitty! She's awesome too!

Great service, food, and atmosphere! I love how accommodating they are with large groups. I can promise that everyone will find something that want to eat- despite the dietary preference they have. My friend has a strict gluten free diet and they have so many options for her. I love the earth patty burger and spin master salad. Also, can't go wrong with a side of their fries (both shoestring and sweet potato are delicious). My boyfriend loved the dirty and the Mac and cheese. (Gouda and bacon). The table loved their Mac and cheese with added broccoli too.

My partner and I only had one night to spend in Paso Robles, and I'm glad we spent it at Taste in the Alley with Ray and Lee. Ray served us a variety of tastings, explaining each without intimidating us or insulting our intelligence. He made the wines accessible, and Ray supplemented Lee's descriptions of each wine with colorful (and very scientific) commentary. We had a lovely time and are taking our newfound knowledge of Central Coast wines back to Atlanta to impress all our friends.
