$$ I really wanted like this place. Our server was great this doesnt rest on his shoulders. Feeding the fish in the Koi fish in the pond was cool as well, but thats where it wnds. They seemed to push sauces for your steak order and found out why. Our filet mignon had no flavor, no seasoning what so ever. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry, and so was the atmosphere. Probably more for the locals, I'm not sure.
I would not recommend this steakhouse for the filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes.
Shockingly good! Steak was so delicious, big-city gourmet quality; but small-town service and so amazing. Also, honestly, best carrots I've ever had. Stunned me to rediscover this old favorite redone as a gourmet star
Writing the review for the first time as my dinner did not go as I expected. First time eating a cold porterhouse. Felt like the porterhouse was not cooked but warmed up in the kitchen. Steak itself was not bad. Just was not at the temperature that freshly cooked steak would be. Also asked for the dijon mustard but was told that there were not any at the restaurant. Steakhouse without any mustard is the first I have ever seen. Steak would not be a good value on the menu. I would instead go for a cheaper entre such as burger.
Very disappointed with this place. Third time we tried and each time the service just ruins the experience. It brings the food down really. Just goes to show, training staff and how they work together is an important feature of food “service”. Management has failed here.
Food was great! Everyone from the Hostesses to the waiters and other dining staff were so accommodating and friendly. Will definitely come back.
Our server, Melisa, did an excellent job. Also the other serving help was very attentive. Only thing was it was our anniversary and I had mentioned this when I made reservation and when we arrived and would have liked to have received our desert with a candle. It was our 56 wedding anniversary. Take care Russell Pannone
Melinda our server was very friendly and attentive, but the food was average. We both had steaks and one was under cooked and the other well overdone.
An old school steakhouse at a great location boarding the town park square. Service was prompt, friendly and engaging as Sally attended to us with enthusiasm while being shadowed by a trainee. Morro Bay raw oysters were sweet and fresh though the appetizer was very small. Calamari was good with maybe a bit too much batter and tiny fish bites. Main courses were good, daily fish special was good (but not great) and my filet was not quite right initially but they fixed that right up after sending it back to the kitchen - give it a 9.
Pleasant beautiful grounds, decent food and exceptional service and attention to detail. Recommend trying this place at least once when in the area
Our server was Great. Beautiful weather and loved the fish. The pond needs to be cleaned badly.
A top tier evening. Our server Sally always gives us a memorable time. We loved the porterhouse and had calamari for a starter and a wedge to share. It was my husband’s birthday and were treated to a glass of prosecco to start. Lovely!

Ribeye and filet mignon were excellent. Loaded potato ($11) was small, dry , like they had been sitting for an hour . Asparagus was dry and over cooked. Please add brussel sprouts to menu.
The change may send us to other restaurants... our favorite spot, the upstairs bar is not serving, as they used to, the items from the regular menu from the restaurant.... why not? Hopefully, it will change back... The steak was what we came for!
The loaded baked potato without butter and just a little sour cream... Bacon was just hardly there and no chives...
Great service otherwise.
Our food and drinks were great. We were seated right away and the waitress was attentive and timely throughout.
Please do not take your mom here on Mother’s Day. On Mother’s day they had a limited menu which they did not post online. I had to call about the menu to see what they were having on Mother’s day. The Person who answered said they would have filet and prime rib but didn’t know prices or sizes of the cuts of meat. I had some small eaters to very large eaters and a 6 oz filet would not satisfy my large eaters. I love the bread they serve before dinner. I was telling my daughter how delicious it was and I asked the person on the phone if they were going to serve their delicious bread. They told me, yes they were going to serve it. On Mother’s day they DID NOT serve it ! So disappointed since I had asked ahead of time if they were going to serve it. The food was good, nothing outstanding in my mind. The 6 of us ordered a variety of items from the filet, prime rib, salmon, steak and eggs, and pancakes. All menu items were good, but when restaurants have a limited menu they should post it on their website. I would go back to this restaurant but on a regular evening. They did give me a rose on my way out but I would rather have their delicious bread and butter.
I looked forward to having a martini. Got to the bar with my wife and ordered 2 martinis. I Was told they don't have any clean martini glasses and gave us our drinks in a rock glass.
Only to see many clean martini glasses on the cooler, So I saidhey you Liad to me!. The bartender asked like she didn't know. Then, she gave us the glasses. But the glasses were only 3/4 full. So I asked to fill the glass. She refused and told me that's how they fill them. I have had drank martinis for years. This wasn't right. I will never go back to a place like this. Make your own choice. It's yours.
