Justin is so nice, we enjoyed

Great Pino Noirs and great conversations with Justin who shared a lot of his knowledge about the grapes and climate.

Don’t miss this vineyard! Family owned, small runs of Pinot Noir. They’re nearly impossible to find in stores as their runs are so small. Every wine we tired in our $20 tasting was great! We picked two bottles and they waved our tasting fee. Such a great place and we will visit again when we are back in the area. Note that we walked up and accommodated us, but I could see this place getting too busy for that in peak season.

Great wines and people! Right off the highway

It took 29 days for our simple order of two bottles of wine to be sent back east via 3-day shipping. We flew in to join family for birthday celebrations, expecting the gift to arrive. It didn’t. After repeated inquiries, both through email and in person, we were assured it would be sent. It wasn’t. A series of errors by Windward Wineries caused a delay of 4 weeks! And to add insult to injury, they finally sent our prepaid 3-day shipping wine by Ground taking yet another week to arrive - with only a scant “Sorry” for all the troubles it caused. We’ll never know if the wine is as ROTTEN as their service, but we won’t be returning.

Beautiful grounds and the server was great. We sat outside and even though it was 100+, the shade from the Redwood and a slight breeze made it very bearable. They only serve Pinots so it was interesting to do a vertical tasting which we had never done before. It was an experience seeing how the wine aged over the various years.

Couldn't believe after several years of absence at Windward Vineyards, we were remembered and warmly greeted by our pourer, Mary!! Delicious Rose and of course, the Pinot, never disappointed!! Cheers to Marc and Maggie!!

Such a beautiful place. Very family oriented. I absolutely loved learning about the history of not just the vineyard but the family. 10/10 recommend!!

Fabulous! Wonderful, I was NOT a Pinot drinker and now I love their wine. 2018 was a great vintage

Another excellent tasting experience. Giselle did a great job, was pleasant, engaged and knowledgeable. Our tasting reservation was for "noon-ish" but we arrived at 11:00 and Giselle was fine with that, made us feel welcome.Yes, Windward is "exclusively Pinot," so if you want to taste a selection of varietals, or if you don't care for Pinot Noir, then this is not the tasting room for you. I, however, love Pinot Noir; it is, by far, my favorite varietal so I make a point to visit Windward whenever we are here. (I live in Nevada but visit Cambria once or twice a year in order to get my ocean fix and stock up on wine.)Beautiful grounds. We bought six bottles, so the tasting fees were waived and we received two more wine glasses with the Windward logo. I have two from last year and they are my favorite wine glasses, so now I have four.
