Will you be reservations to eat here at our anniversary. We let the staff know when making a reservations. The host congratulated us as well despite all this we never received an anniversary dessert plate like the table next of us did. That was our first time in many years that a restaurant never pay attention to that small detail. Despite that the staff are extremely nice, but I will say you will wait a while for your food and check to come. We ended up splitting a salad having duck and two different desserts. The Caesar salad was pretty much basic. I wish it was creamier. The duck was very good. It was interesting with the corn. If you do over the duck, I highly recommend you order a side such as mashed potatoes I think a creamy component would’ve really went well with the duck. Lastly, we ordered the fruit tart as well as the tiramisu with the tiramisu is very bitter my husband ended up, loving it so much from that bitterness of the coffee . I, myself preferred the strawberry tart, but I will say the strawberry tart is something special But it paired very well with the ice cream.

We went here for my brother’s graduation dinner. Overall service was very nice, and the atmosphere is everything. The weather was perfect. The food was really delicious.

Made a reservation on our last night at the Inn. The food was fantastic. Our server, Sylva, was exceptional. I had the prosciutto (cut paper thin!) e ricotta for an appetizer, and the lasagna tradizionale for my entre. Get the affogato for dessert - you won't be disappointed!

Tremendous place. After a day of golf I cannot think of a better restaurant.

Went for Christmas Eve dinner expecting that an Italian restaurant would have multiple dishes or specials featuring seafood. Unfortunately, most of their dishes were meat based and the food was not authentic. The servers were very attentive and atmosphere was nice. With a lot of Italians living in Monterey and Carmel and those just visiting, hopefully they will throw in a traditional feast of the 7 fishes dish or at least linguine with clams next year. Disappointed overall with the menu and under seasoned food. We spent $180 on a shared salad, two pasta dinners and two alcoholic beverages.

Wow, it was amazing! Delicious food and a stunning view! I had a lightly fried chicken with greens which was good, and my companions had pesto pasta, fettuccine with shrimp, and lasagna. I especially recommend the pesto pasta. We got bruschetta and it was very strange, wasn't like any bruschetta we have ever had, we didn't like it. Other than that I highly reccomend!

Vegetarian options: I'm pretty sure the pesto pasta is vegetarian but I am not sure.

Parking: Valet

Kid-friendliness: The chicken is good for kids.

We got the Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, and the way they cut it table side, how well the wine we had went with the t-bone. Would I get it again for the price? Maybe not but it was a great experience

This restaurant was wildly underwhelming. The water that was poured when we arrived had flies in it.The sparkling water we paid for was left in an ice bucket out of sight and was never re poured by anyone. We didn’t even know where it was until we left. The wrong salad was brought to the table.Steak Florentine was undercooked. Almost blue throughout. We ordered medium rare. You’d think someone would use a thermometer for a $150 steak. The waiter who carved it looked like he was using a knife for the first time in his life.Pasta with marinara for my daughter was not cooked. It was not Al dente. I know what that is. It was crunchy. And severely undercooked. No manager, or anyone in a supervisory role was visible at all. And obviously did not visit our table to check we were enjoying our dinner. The waiter was nice but inattentive. The view was nice.

Great menu. Five star service. I had combination of the Snow Cod with pesto pasta which they were happy to make for me off the menu. Awesome views at sunset.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very fancy and beautiful. We got a good view of the ocean. The servers and hostess were very nice and polite. We ordered lasagna and it was quite delicious and filling. The server Anthony brought us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary. The prices may seem high, but for the service and food it's quite worth it! Thank you for the wonderful experience. We would definitely return.

Please carefully read through my review if the price range is not within your daily consumption level:You need to adjust your expectation before dinning here. The price that you paid for the food obviously contains a premium, considering the restaurant locates inside the most luxurious lodge with the best view you can find in Monterey. (I'm sure there is no "one of the best".)I would reckon a 30%-40% premium contained in the price, comparing to a similar level of food and service elsewhere. $100+/persion can get you a 1-star Michelin restaurant anywhere else in CA.Now, back to the view: GREAT if you are lucky enough to avoid rainy, cloudy days during winter times, as the day goes completely dark after 5:30 while the restaurant only start operations at 5:30; GOOD if you encounter any situations listed above, but it remains a question for you to decide if you are willing to pay for the overly priced food when the entire coast has no sunlight at all.Last, I don't think the food is that amazing as some other reviews described. I'm not sure if they pretend to say so as they are purely staggered by the view or they rarely have the chance to walk inside a decent Italian-style restaurant. In either case, you should expect a decent level of cooking as you can normally get in this price level and a not very generous portion. (eat as many free bread as possible)
