Had their margherita flatbread, spicy shrimps and apple upside cake. All of them tastes delicious. Service staff were all friendly! I would recommend taking the seats outside. It maybe a lil chilly, but the view was lovely. It maybe a tad awkward because you will have to share the communal fire spots but it was still worth it.

I recently dined at The Bench, and I must say I was thoroughly disappointed. From the moment I sat down, I was greeted by a swarm of flies outside—on the floor, the windows, my shoes, and even the table. It was impossible to escape them. The couple next to me spent their lunch swatting at flies, making the whole experience unpleasant and unappetizing.

Then came the food. I ordered the Roasted Cauliflower Steak, something I’ve enjoyed at other places, but what arrived was a scattered mess of cauliflower bits, heaps of shredded romaine, and barely a hint of chimichurri.

My companion ordered the Korean Style Brisket Sandwich—only, “brisket” it certainly was not. The meat was an unappetizing pale gray, dry and flavorless, as though it had been overcooked days before. The only redeeming element was the togarashi fries. I did see another reviewer post a picture of their Korean Style Brisket Sandwich and what my companion received was definitely not that.

Frankly, the best part of the meal was simply sitting outside on a sunny day—when I wasn’t being bombarded by flies.

I loved everything about this! We got there right at 5:30 and didn't have to wait. Even though they were busy, we didn't feel rushed and were able to enjoy a nice dinner after enjoying a day of driving down the coast.

Food was good but a little expensive for what you got. Beautiful location and a nice atmosphere, but a little stuffy and sterile. Service was great, very attentive and thorough.

Five of us made a reservation for lunch on a Wednesday. When we arrived we were told it would be a 5 minute wait, no big deal. We were seated and no one acknowledged us for 15 minutes. No water, no hello, nothing. Finally our waiter came with water and took our drink orders. Drinks came in a pretty timely fashion. When the waiter came to take our order finally, he asked if we were ready to place our order "before he got slammed again". Food came out, was pretty good but not one person came to ask how we were doing, water glasses were empty, etc. Pretty much ignored the entire time. After finishing our food, we sat for what seemed like a very long time before I finally caught the waiter's attention for to go boxes which he forgot and then I had to ask the busser again for 2 boxes. The boxes came with the check. No one asked about seeing a dessert menu (even though the regular menu says "save room for dessert") or even asking if we'd like anything else. Dirty dishes were left from the appetizer the entire meal.
Yes, the view is fantastic but it seems like Pebble Beach Company is resting on its laurels knowing that they are "Pebble Beach" and of course, the view. (why I gave atmosphere a 3 star)
Restaurant is very well worn and could use some updating, considering the prices they charge here.
And the flies!!! Please do something about all the flies that we had to continually swat our of our faces, drinks and food. At one point, 2 flies were making love in the middle of our table.

Girlfriend and I celebrating 5 years- Jason made sure to make our lunch special. Gave fantastic recommendations that delivered. BLT salad, bread balloon, carrot cake and an awesome view of the 18th. The beer is so cold it like ices up a little in the glass- what more could you want. High tier spot for a fantastic lunch. We will be making the drive again from LA. Thanks again Jason.

It would appear the plethora of new hires are in need of remedial training as do the new management. It is more than obvious they all lack even the most remedial of basic training.

When the hostess promptly seats you, welcoming you back, make sure the attending staff you have just waiting around doing nothing in clear view (a) comes to welcome the newly seated guests (b) asks for their order (c) does not ignore them every time they walk by - an arms length away.

It is more than obvious they, and in turn the management and Pebble Beach overseers lack basic manners basic training, and are a distinguished liability to those they claim and serve.

You cannot be in the hospitality business by acting like you don’t know anything about the hospitality business.

Pebble Beach Company reputation is tarnished by lackadaisical devil may care attitude of poorly trained new staff who in turn reflect on inabilities of management to do what they are supposed to be doing.

Been coming here regularly for many years.

This is as bad as I’ve seen this place.

Not world class - but no class.

Well earned.

The food was amazing especially the ribeye, it was on point, the best I’ve had by far. Loved the little fire on the outside tables.

What a gorgeous place to take your friends! We enjoyed a beautiful day on the Monterey Peninsula and we love coming to The Bench! By the end of our meal you could see the fog rolling in, but that was part of the magic as well.
