My daughter and I had breakfast the other day at the Daybreak Cafe in Penn Valley, California. There was plenty of seating available and we were greeted as we came in. The menu and daily specials offered were all very tasty. Our order was taken quickly and our food came out hot. The dishes we selected were both very good. There are clean bathrooms available and there is plenty of parking.
My dad lives nearby and eats here often for both breakfast and lunch. Cindy the new owner has done a great job with the cook/chef, who goes by the name Cookie, does a great job in the kitchen and with coming up with daily specials. Cindy continues to add to the menu with the chef’s help. They are adding a variety of soups as the weather cools. Great timing. I suggest you give them a try, support your local business. Amazing country diner! The staff are awesome very talkative down to Earth. This place makes you feal like your sitting in grandmas kitchen on Saturday morning . telling stories of the past and making up new ones for the future. Food is very country style just how grampa loves it!!, The young lady that brings the waters fills coffes etc .is so awesome and on top of it..neved went without!!
