Stopped by for lunch during our coastal drive after reading about the tavern’s long history. Quaint old building with lots of charm and character. I had the artichoke soup and grilled cheese, and my wife had the snapper and chips—everything was delicious. Friendly, welcoming service and a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the coast.

The half artichoke half green chili cream soup is amazing with the sourdough bread. You have to get the berry pie with ice cream;

Artichoke Soup Bowl $18.25 We were Not wowed, only by the price. Not a piece or a garnish to represent an artichoke. Very thick, its like they added potatoes to make it creamy. My suggestion add lemon to bring out the color and a little ounce of flavor. The Olilliberry-lemonade Hands Down Delicious! Too bad no “free” refills since half the glass is ice. Service was great, glad to see wait staff rather than ordering via QR code.

Tip: Duarte's is famous for their artichoke soup. But from the manager we learned that you can have half chile soup half artichoke mixed together. It's a spicy smooth blend that you will really enjoy!

Incredible breakfast - my favourite whilst on my last trip to CA. The Bloody Mary was the best I've ever had. Slightly unconventional set up paying before you've eaten, but hey - it was a great meal.

If you're in pescadero, you must stop at this iconic restaurant. Beautiful history, amazing food, with a unique classic atmosphere.

Famous for their Artichoke Soup, but you can't go wrong. Everything I have had over the years has been an absolute hit.

Make sure to stop at the cafe across the street for a delicious Affogato, and Grab some bread from down the street to tie a nice ribbon around your Pescadero adventure.

Duarte’s is the best. Have the half and half artichoke/green chile soup. Heaven.

A little disappointing. The French dip was standard but enjoyed the jalapeños on it. Fish and chips above average. Salad with bay shrimp was good but the blue cheese dressing was so thin. It was like milk with blue cheese cumbles in it with no taste. We won't go back.
