“What a great, tasty, lunch. Curry pumpkin soup and the breakfast sandwich were perfect on a cloudy November afternoon. San Mateo coast is great and this food truck was a fun place for lunch”
“This space includes a cafe and an independent shop/boutique in the back which sources LOCAL ingredients from the Bay Area, SoCal and the Pacific NW. The shop is really incredible though on the pricey side ($20 for a chocolate bar). I loved their mission statement inscribed on the front door (please take the time to read it through!). Even as a longtime Bay Area resident, I have discovered some great independent brands and products on my visits here I didn't know about, like RAD, Ritual chocolates, organic herbal teas, spices/condiments, and more. And other brands that were familiar and of high quality (Fifth Crow Farms, Wise Goat organics), and organic self-care products. This is always the highlight of my visits! The coffee at the cafe (Sightglass), which we always get, is good too and well made. But I agree with other reviews that the barista's service could be friendlier. She seemed a bit annoyed by my questions about the products, and this is how I figured out that they are separate from the shop per se. Warm and welcoming service would have been an added plus.”
“Cool coffee shop. Love their coffee and their cool nostalgia items. Loved the fillmore, comics and my favorite mini Volkswagon car. They ladies super nice. Definitely would come back here.”
“It's maybe a 3 and half but I'll go 4 because it's in such a beautiful spot. But truly - Costanoa - the campground where it's located - is gorgeous. And the building the restaurant is in is really beautiful too. I got the smoked salmon Benedict which I quite enjoyed. They loaded it up with salmon - definitely did not feel skimped. Eggs were well poached. I've had better hollandaise, but thiers was still really solid. The breakfast "bravas" on the side were good. They have a small, but sufficient (although slightly spendy) kids menu. My daughter got the pancakes which came with yummy berries on top. Good sized. The service was maybe a bit inattentive? Very rarely saw any of the waitstaff. Having said that, it wasn't a particularly slow meal. No one ever asked to refill my coffee though... maybe they don't do refills?”
“Nice spot... A must have is the artichoke soup... Only really went there for that, other items in menu looked good, and everyone there looked to be enjoying thier meals, so I would say, give anything there a shop; just remember to top it with a bowl of delicious artichoke soup. ???Parking: Plenty of parking in front and around; small'ish town so if up for it, can do a bit of walking around, and the people (imo) I found to be friendly and helpful.”
“I stopped by for one of their weekend BBQ events. The food is fantastic, the setting in the huge redwoods is amazing and the building makes you feel like it's a hundred years ago. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Oh, and they had a high quality band playing outside on the deck. I'll be going back for sure!”
“Title: A Tranquil Oasis of Culinary ExcellenceRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review:Nestled amidst nature's beauty, this restaurant is a true hidden gem. The food is exceptional, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is enchanting. Despite the occasional parking challenge, every moment spent here is worth it. I'm so impressed that I'm returning with my parents this week! Whether you're a local or a traveler, this place is a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience. Kudos to the team for their consistent excellence – can't wait to be back!”
“Stopped here on a whim while heading south on highway one. Glad we did! Had a quick bite to eat, enjoyed the views, and had one of their house brewed beers. Cool little spot ?”
