Not that good. Overpriced and under tasting.
Would love to really like this restaurant, but just not making the cut in the plentiful Sonoma County landscape of delicious options.
From the moment we crossed the threshold, we were folded into the kind of hospitality that feels less like service and more like being invited into someone's home—if that home happened to have a kitchen staffed by culinary magicians.
David, our server, moved through the evening with the rare combination of attentiveness and ease, reading the rhythm of our meal perfectly. Even when we didn't need him, he was a pleasure to watch—gliding through the restaurant with his own distinctive cadence, part walk, part dance, entirely his own.
But let's talk about the food. The trout and avocado dip arrived as a study in balance—savory, impossibly creamy, with neither the delicate trout nor the richness of the avocado overwhelming the other. Scooped up with their house-made chips, it was the kind of starter that sets the tone for everything to follow.
Then came the Delicata squash rings—golden halos of autumn, each one a perfect balance of sweet squash and caramelized edges.
The French onion soup deserves its own paragraph. Too often, this classic arrives as a salt bomb with rubbery onions lurking beneath a cheese raft. Not here. The base was rich but measured, letting the sweetness of perfectly cooked onions shine through—tender, never stringy or chewy. The bread and cheese on top? They melted into the broth like a dream.
The Branzino for two was revelation. Buttery flesh, skin so perfectly crisped it flaked at the touch of a fork, each bite elevated by those addictive Parker House rolls that begged to be torn apart and dragged through every last bit of butter on the plate.
And then the St. Honoré tart—crowned with three perfectly golden choux buns, each bite revealing layers of pastry and cream with caramel notes that lingered long after the last forkful disappeared.
This is the kind of meal you remember not just for what you ate, but for how it made you feel: utterly, completely satisfied. We will be coming back.
Food was good but tiny portions and had to eat more dinner at home as I was hungry. This was after ordering appetizer plus entree.
Pricey and very small portions. But delicious and superb service.
A wonderful location on the corner
The food was very rich in flavor and all the aspects of each plate were delightful
Drinks were on par and service was impeccable
I got the Wellington and I thought it was perfect. I was very happy with my meal and I look forward to coming back to try something else. The service was also very attentive without being intrusive. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It's definitely worth a visit. 5 stars forsure.
Go! Excellent
5 stars - French onion soup, sunchoke soup, fried delicata rings, au fromage (burrata, fig), oxtail
4 stars - raviolo, persimmon salad, trout dip
3 stars - salmon with root vegetables
Service - 5 stars
I was not impressed. We had the beef bourgignon and it was way too salty. The fried squash rings were good and the trout appetizer tasted like tuna fish. Not that impressed with that either for what was supposed to be an upscale French restaurant. It did not really pan out to be that great
Top-level, save room for dessert - stellar pastry work.
Enjoyed another excellent meal while visiting. The food & service were top notch, like last time, but I don't know what happened to the wine list. A couple months ago there were so many interesting choices, and now it's peppered with oddball producers. What happened to the good stuff? Only 2 wines offered by the bottle?...and both are white?? The Somm who helped us last time was so knowledgeable, and it was nice to know I could confidently visit without bringing a bottle or two. An odd/disappointing list for a place that's in the middle of wine country. Nevertheless, the food and service is very impressive. We'll definitely be back, but I'm going to bring a couple high quality bottles. Previous visit was definitely 5 stars but this one gets 4.

Excellent food, drinks and service. Friendly staff and upscale yet casual atmosphere
Wonderful food and helpful service!! Thank you for a nice relaxed evening!
Had a phenomenal dinner here last night! Such a cozy atmosphere with attentive staff. The Pêche du Jour, Cheese Fondant, & Pavlova dessert were all beautifully plated. I enjoyed the Shishito pepper starter as well, but I was too hungry to get a photo of it first. Every dish was unique & flavorful, & paired wonderfully with the Rhône wine that my server recommended. My mom enjoyed the Beef Wellington & the Melon Marvel mocktail. We’ll definitely be back! I’m going to be dreaming of that fish dish until then, & I would love to explore their creative cocktail list.
I noticed the decor was of a bland flavor upon my entrance. I thought to my optimistic self that the atmosphere would be like a neutral palette to the food.
I was right!
The food is perfectly subtle in a way that intices another bite, after another. The staff is attentive, personable and have impeccable timing. This is a welcome addition to a slew of great restaurants in Petaluma.
