Went for lunch. The ambience is sophisticated and chic. The music playlist is soft and jazzy/clubby. We had Cobb salads - one without blue cheese, and they made a special dressing for it. I can decidedly say it was the best salad I've ever had. We ordered the soup which again was outstanding. They had a light kind of chili oil on it I think - not too hot. It was exceptional. Great food. Excellent beef Wellington and the oxtail was just as good. Friends had pasta and steak frites both of which were very good. The your dip appetizer was awesome and we could have eaten several more of them. Service was very good. My only minor complaint was that our server could have been a little more knowledgeable about the dishes ingredients. Overall a great experience.
This was our first time dining at Bijou, after reading a rave review in the paper. We got an early reservation to beat the crowd. First course was house made potato chips with dip. The chips were grease free and light as air and I wish there'd been more of them. Our cocktails were the house specialty -Mezcal with green chartreuse and bitters. Delicious!
