We have visited this historical neighborhood gem off and on for many years. Rays was first a corner grocery store when we would stop in after school for a snack, for the walk home in the early 70's. Since 2011, stopping in to grab freshly made Deli Sandwiches during the work week. Be sure to say hello to Dimitri behind the Deli case, there is a wonderful Sandwich named after him. On my way out to the coast with Teabiscuit to snag some oysters for the BBQ and just had to stop at Ray's Delicatessen for a quick sandwich. And, I'll tell you why...the last time I went out there hungry, I ate 40 bucks worth of oysters before leaving.
