Suburban Travelers
We were passing through Petaluma around midday on our recent vacation, so we stopped for lunch at the River Front Cafe. The cafe is downtown on the riverfront. There was free street parking nearby and a nice outdoor terrace with tables overlooking the river.
You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. My wife enjoyed the falafel salad while I had a delicious Sonoma savory crepe, which included salmon. If you want a quick, reasonably priced option for lunch with good food, check out River Front Cafe!

I want to give it more stars but we waited a long time for our food and the plates came out dirty. My plate had a chunk of tuna on the bottom and my son's plate a smear of some sauce that didn't go with his dish. Gave an impression of a very chaotic kitchen. The table was super wobbly, I had to stuff a rolled up napkin under the leg. The food was good but after the tuna my stomach was turned (I am vegetarian). We won't be going back.

Hands down the best breakfast in Petaluma! After moving here it was kind of challenging to find a good breakfast place, but this one definitely knocks it out of the park! They also have live music shows playing well known songs on certain nights of the week. Check them out and you won't be disappointed!

Went here on a nice day to eat outside and enjoy the view. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The weather didn’t disappoint, can’t say the same for the service. Ordered two entrées, two coffees and two mimosa’s the food took 20+ mins to arrive, and only after I asked one of the servers for a status. After telling me she’d check I on the order she came back a few mins later and said “they’re making it now.” Food finally came out, no one offered an explanation or apology for the food taking so long. Don’t waste your time, go to Taps across the river instead. Rating is 1.5 stars

I came here with a friend I had not seen in a while for some Xmas brunch. We both drove about 45 mins to see each other. We had a decent brunch (about $45 + between the two of us) and as we are sipping coffee and catching up with our lives, the waitress rudely demands that we leave so they can give the table to other people waiting. As a paying customer, I kindly declined being pushed out at that precise moment as we were not done drinking our coffee and we were in the middle of our conversation. My friend also wanted to get some additional pastries and we were about to. But when the waitress responded by telling me that she didnt like me because we were unwilling to give up the table, we were done. Ah! Then another waitress comes over and demands that we leave at that moment so they sit other people. I find this incredibly rude. We did have to get up and leave and it ruined our holiday outing. We decided to not buy any pastries and never going back. I am not one to ever give a bad review but in this case I must. Food was ok, not great and the place is a bit tired. All of that would have been overlooked if good service. The 1 star review is pretty generous, they really deserve none.
