If you enjoy suspense, you’ll love River Front Café—because you’ll spend about an hour wondering when (or if) your food will appear. When it finally does, the mystery continues: how did it manage to be both cold and overcooked at the same time? The view is lovely, but unfortunately, you can’t eat scenery. For the price and the wait, I’d recommend grabbing a coffee somewhere else and just walking by the river instead—you’ll have a better time and probably finish “your meal” faster.

We came in for dinner and loved it so much we came right back the next morning for breakfast. The food was fantastic and the service and staff were somehow even better. It feels like a family in here.
Had the chicken kebab plate and Mediterranean salad for dinner. Then a sweet crepe and chicken fried steak for dinner. Everything was amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the value and portion sizes.

this place came highly recommended and I was eager to stop in. However, for our family of 4 it was over $100 to eat and the food took over an hour to come out. honestly ridiculous given that we ordered salads. a lot of potential to be a good meal and place but the lack of service spoiled the experience. wouldn’t recommend.

Had a Turkey Club wrap with an included salad. Everything was very good, but the salad really stood out. Everything was super fresh and crisp like it was harvested minutes before it was served. Didn't like that I had to ask for a bathroom unlock code, but I am sure there's a good reason

Excellent breakfast! It's a great place for healthy food eaters. The person who took my orders let me have Greek salad as the side with no extra cost even though it was not listed as an option on the menu.

Suburban Travelers
We were passing through Petaluma around midday on our recent vacation, so we stopped for lunch at the River Front Cafe. The cafe is downtown on the riverfront. There was free street parking nearby and a nice outdoor terrace with tables overlooking the river.
You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. My wife enjoyed the falafel salad while I had a delicious Sonoma savory crepe, which included salmon. If you want a quick, reasonably priced option for lunch with good food, check out River Front Cafe!
I want to give it more stars but we waited a long time for our food and the plates came out dirty. My plate had a chunk of tuna on the bottom and my son's plate a smear of some sauce that didn't go with his dish. Gave an impression of a very chaotic kitchen. The table was super wobbly, I had to stuff a rolled up napkin under the leg. The food was good but after the tuna my stomach was turned (I am vegetarian). We won't be going back.

Hands down the best breakfast in Petaluma! After moving here it was kind of challenging to find a good breakfast place, but this one definitely knocks it out of the park! They also have live music shows playing well known songs on certain nights of the week. Check them out and you won't be disappointed!
