Sadly we did not have a good experience here. We started our meal with the German pretzel which honestly I’ve had better pretzels at a gas station. Felt like it was just microwaved and not good.
We also ordered iced tea after asking if it was fresh brewed and assured that it was. First taste of the tea told us it was fresh brewed a week ago because it was sour and I drinkable.
I ordered the fish and chips based on the recommendation of the waitress who said it was a very popular dish. I am doubtful that people are enjoying it because it was tasteless. The cod was cooked well but there was literally no seasoning in the batter. If it wasn’t for the salt shaker and the malt vinegar I doubt I would have eaten it. The fries were ok but there was no ketchup to be found anywhere.
My husband ordered a basic cheeseburger and asked for it to be a double. It arrived as a single and was the only good part of the meal. He enjoyed the burger we would not go back.

Came in from Texas, training at Petaluma. Came to visit this place and it was subpar! The smoked wings were more charbroiled and burnt. Service was about 5 min per beer to receive from the server. At the end of all this, they do not advise you that a party of 6 with only 1 who ordered food, they add a 20% gratuity tip…..pretty sneaky tactics since we were going to tip 20% anyways but they made out on on 6 decorated veterans visiting
Service is very good here. I feel like the food is just OK. However if you think of it as barefoot only, then it's quite good.

We dined at Taps On The River for the first time last evening. I was so impressed with the service and friendly atmosphere. We chose our table inside by the large windows that looked out on the River. Our server was Jessica and she was simply wonderful. She was very attentive throughout the meal but not intrusive (give this lady a raise!). The food was wonderful. Plenty of choices for all. I might suggest that you put something chocolate on the dessert menu. Thank you all for a delightful evening.
