Had lunch there today. I had a French dip sandwich made of prime rib.. I had the sandwich, packed with prime rib, plus au jus. The fun was crispy, but not ready. As a side, they provided tater tots, which I happen to love. I asked if I could also have a side of coleslaw, which was delicious and was added without charge. It was about the best French dip that I’ve ever had in 67 years. The bun was crispy, but not heavy. Dipped into the au jus, it was heaven. They are good hearted people, and they should be patronized.

Tried the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer. It was SO good, and filling!
The service was wonderful. My group and I really enjoyed it. My friend had the French Onion soup. She loved it. We all will definitely be back! They also offer line dancing.
Parking: Get there early, because street parking can be extremely difficult to find.

It took almost an hour to receive my cocktail and over an hour and 45 minutes to receive my dinner food was good but not worth the wait. The restaurant was not even full or very busy. I won’t be back.

None of the food came out hot, especially not the dessert. My ma says a French dip is supposed to be really flavorful, especially the sauce ya dip it in. My dip, though, was missing a lot of the good stuff. Lacked taste and had to ask for BBQ sauce to work it out. The sauce it came w tasted like miso soup- no pizzazz.Fries came out w no seasoning on em.Waiter was in such a hurry that my water got filled w Sprite.Couldn't taste the sausage on the pizza. To my preference, dough coulda been cooked a lil more, but it's all good. The apple dessert was frozen in the middle. Supposed to be like an apple pie, ya know: hot. Now we wonder if any of the other food was even fresh. Ice cream was good tho.

Restaurantji Recommends
My wife and I decided to check this place out after we heard great things about their prime rib. We went in for lunch and were fortunate enough to be able to order it even though it was only on the dinner menu. Our waitress Kendra and the chef worked their magic and we're lucky they did because it was our last day in town. It was delicious and the portion size was a great value for the asking price. Plus it came with sides which increasingly seems like a rarity these days with something like a steak or prime rib. We don't drink but they had a nice bar next to the dining room, and some TVs with sports on if you're looking for that. The restaurant is within walking distance of a lot of great things to see and do as well. We'll definitely be back the next time we are in town and I look forward to it. Needless to say I highly recommend checking out Torches for yourself.

Met friends for Happy Hour, excellent happy hour specials. I had their Roast Beef Sliders which turned out to be the best French Dip sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Great selection of beers too.
