Urban Deli Reviews
We read Houston’s article in the Argus about Urban Deli and had to try it. It was everything he proclaimed.
I tried the Mediterranean Platter and everything was delicious - the falafel were uniquely spiced and not too salty which mixes often are. My husband tried the chicken schwarma platter and the walnut baklava and enjoyed them both.
The customer service was excellent.
So excited to have this new deli downtown.

Urban Deli is a charming family-owned Mediterranean restaurant located downtown. The owners, Wissam and Marla, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making every guest feel at home. The food is fresh, generously portioned, and full of flavor, with dishes like the Chicken Shawarma plate and the Mediterranean sampler standing out. The menu offers subtle fusion cuisine with a focus on Eastern flavors, including surprise items like the eggplant sandwich. The falafel wrap is highly recommended, with a special spice that makes the flavors pop. The falafel salad is also a favorite, featuring super fresh, crunchy ingredients like lettuce, herbs, mint, and cucumber, all served with delicious hummus. Desserts such as the rose pistachio Turkish delight and baklava are housemade and fabulous, with many visitors eager to try more desserts like the Dubai chocolate cheesecake. The chicken shawarma wrap is often praised as the best ever, packed with flavor and a little kick. The fatoush salad with chicken is another highly recommended dish. Visitors also highlight the gyro wrap and chicken Greek bowl, which are bursting with flavor and reasonably priced. The dolmas and baklava are considered some of the best in years—perfectly balanced in sweetness and acidity—and the hummus plate and shwarma are favorites. Everything is made in house, including pita bread, tzatziki, and all desserts, ensuring freshness and quality. The friendly service and tasty food make the restaurant a hidden gem in Sonoma County, offering a cozy atmosphere and genuine Middle Eastern flavors.
