This has to be the worst Italian experience I have had. Previous ratings are inaccurate or they were having an extremely bad night. I wouldn’t waste my good money going back!

We ordered family style and had 5 different dishes; 3 pastas, salmon and a chicken Marsala. Every single dish was delicious and even the toddlers loved the food.

The food was fantastic. The service was amazing. The atmosphere is kind of small town, old style Italian restaurant. So for me I liked it. Not a fufu place. I plan on going back next time I'm in the area.

Parking: There's parking just one half block down the street at a parking garage for free.

Hopping family-friendly Italian restaurant. Basic good quality eats. Super friendly staff. Solid, not exciting. Loved that there was a vegan pasta option—tasty and good quantity of veg. I also ordered a side of veggies.

Vegetarian options: Vegan pasta option plus a couple veg options—better than most Italian restaurants these days!

Parking: We found a spot right at the corner. Always helps to come early.

Went on Father's Day and it was very busy. The staff was exceptional and didn't miss a beat. And the food was absolutely delicious. So good!

Legendary Italian. Family Style. Enough said.

It's the real deal. It's not poofy California designer Italian food, and it's not some hoity-toity chef of the year Italian food. It's where Italians come to eat. My 100% Italian wife grew up not too far from Petaluma in Crockett. A virtual nest of first and second generation Italians, and this is one of their favorite places to eat (as they say) "the real stuff". A side note, my Grandfather threw back a few drinks in this place during prohibition.

A great historic place with plenty of charm, mementos, a "back room" checkered tablecloths but now something is missing so I'm told. We had a reservation and were seated right away but then waited quite a while for any kind of service. We started with some fried calamari which most seemed to like but to me the coating was so thick and dry it was no to my taste. They no longer have the salad served family style and that may be a sign of the times so we ordered entrees which were delivered in good time and most were good except for the gnocchi which were anything but "light and airy"! We tried to get the servers attention to order another bottle of wine but eventually had to get the bus boy to get it for us. The prices are good and as I said most of the food was good. The place holds lots of memories for the locals so I hope it gets back to what it was once we rid ourselves of this pandemic which seems to have impacted this and many other places.

Excellent cuisine in a red tablecloth old school Italian setting. Loved the calamari and the veal parmigiana special. Really nice to arrive early before it gets too busy at dinner time. Recommend highly!

I too am one of the many who have been going to Volpi's for years. Their food is always very good, servers are personable and efficient (especially Ginger!) and the place is overall welcoming. There was a place like this when I was a kid growing up in Minneapolis that was our family's go-to place. Volpi's is the reincarnation of it. Go there, eat great food and feel the love.

We've been going to Volpi's for years and have always found it to be consistently high quality! the service is friendly and their Lamb Shank with Creamy Polenta is the BEST! Family friendly and fun, with an interesting history still on display throughout the interior.

This is an interesting old location, very eclectic, very popular. The food is good, but the service on the evening I was there was slow, although friendly. Parking was hard to find, but that would be expected in a very busy area like this on a Saturday night.

I absolutely love this place. It is quaint, family run and the service top notch. Beautiful building, was a prohibition bar and then a market and now a restaurant. there is a wonderful light and airy feel, marine decor and historical pictures throughout the restaurant. I was here for a Lent dinner and the Cioppino was incredible! For all of you non Bay area residents, it is a famous fish stew originating from Italian immigrant fishermen who lived in San Francisco. It is a historical regional dish and you can actually taste the history in it. Pairing it with a California white wine, sublime. I had a chance to see the owner who was playing the accordion, it was wonderful. What a warm touch to our meal.

For decades June time frame as well every time were near Petaluma I and my family have experienced the same high quality service and feed bag largely because it’s a Family run business with a long history in the community. Always busy so plan around a pleasant wait if you haven’t reserved a time. Very few restaurants offer such an experience especially in Petaluma, Ca
