Always a great time. Love the new tasting room. Kudos to Tom, Ernie and team!
Not only are the wines and side dishes top notch; the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The beauty of the Valley from the tasting room makes you feel like you might be in France or Italy.
It is a memorable experience I will highly recommend.
Breath taking views from their patio! Really enjoyed the sparkling wine and I learned a lot about the region from the tour. Highly recommend stopping by - we had an especially lovely time with their live music!
Roederer Estate in Anderson Valley is an exceptional experience, deserving more than just 5 stars – I'd give it 6 if I could. The scenic vineyard setting is breathtaking, and the sparkling wines are nothing short of superb. Our sommelier, Ernest, was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through each tasting with insights that elevated the experience. His passion for the wines truly enhanced our visit. The tasting room is welcoming and intimate, making it a memorable stop in this beautiful region. Highly recommended for any wine lover!
Excellent bubbles
We received exceptional hospitality during our visit yesterday. The wonderful ladies who hosted our tasting truly went above and beyond again and again. We had a few requests that didn’t really fall under their responsibility to meet, yet they took every opportunity to say yes when they could have easily said no. Just those few niceties took our experience from nice to amazing. Service like this only accentuates the fine sparkling wines produced here. We thank you so much for a delightful afternoon.
Beautiful grounds, can't wait to see the remodeled tasting room. L'ermitage is my favorite California sparkling wine. thanks for an enjoyable visit!
We booked the winery tour at 10:30am(it includes tasting as well) and it was an amazing experience! I'd highly recommend to do it to learn more about sparkling wine production and see the real working facility from inside. Really fascinating!
Dani did great job presenting Roederer, explaining various stages of the process and hosting the tasting afterward! Probably it was the most memorable experience during our 2-days Anderson Valley winery trip.
The wines are impeccable and the hospitality was top notch. The hospitality director has such an incredible depth of knowledge about Champagne and sparkling wine.
What a lovely place to visit! Joined the club we liked it so much.

Exceptional bubbles from the French master. Can’t wait for the new venue to open. Food pairings were healthy and so well balanced with the food.
Love it
One of my favorite wineries! We’re fortunate enough to live in California to be able to drive up to have tastings! I can’t wait to come for pickups! The magnum vintages are my favorites!
Roederer Estate is one of the three major sparkling wine producers (Scharffenberger and Domaine Anderson being the others) in the Anderson Valley that are owned by the champagne house, Maison Louis Roederer, the producer of Cristal among other things. In my opinion, they produce the best wines of the three, so we stopped by at 11 AM without a reservation for a mid-week tasting. We were the only ones for the hour or so that we were there. The tasting room is currently being renovated, so we sat outside on the patio that overlooked the vineyards. They offered two tastings:Classic Flight for $25Brut MVBrut MV from a magnumBrut Rosé MV2020 Clark Road Single VineyardExtra DryL’Ermitage Flight for $45Brut MVBrut Rosé from a magnum2017 L’Ermitage Brut2006 L’Ermitage Brut Late Disgorged2015 L’Ermitage Brut RoséThey requested that everyone in the party drink the same flight, so we went with the L’Ermitage Flight. It was more expensive, but it was worth it just to try the three wonderful L’Ermitage wines. To be fair, older vintage champagnes (2006) might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was fascinating to taste the effect of aging - think caramel and brioche notes as opposed to fresh fruits. It was getting close to lunch, so we also ordered the eggs mimosa and the lavender honey and goat cheese crostini. Both were delicious and paired very well with the wines.Afterwards, you have the opportunity to not only buy a wide range of library wines from the Roederer Estate, but also from Maison Louis Roederer including several older vintages of Cristal at pretty reasonable prices. We opted to go with the 2006 L’Ermitage LD Brut ($120) and the 2003 L’Ermitage Brut Rosé ($140) because I doubt that we will come across these wines anywhere else.If you enjoy sparkling wines, this might be an excellent stop as you make your way through the Anderson Valley. It will probably be even better when the new tasting room opens too.One last recommendation - go to the bathroom. Really. In order to get to the bathroom, you get to see the wine storage area, the fermentation barrels/tanks, etc. Pretty cool to see.
Gorgeous setting, terrific range of sparkling wines in the champagne style. No appointment needed for tastings, and they start at $20 per person for 5 pours. They have a selection of snacks.
