Got the horchata latte and a concha. The woman working there gave me a sample of the hot chocolate cookie and it was amazing, I need to come back for that.

I went today around 12ish and there were two staff members. A young man and a female… the male took the trash out and the female acknowledged me but didn’t offer service. The guy came back from throwing out the trash and I heard him tell the female “you’ve got a customer waiting”… the guy helped me out… the food was HORRIBLE… I ordered a mollete with soy chorizo and it was cold :-( . I got a large iced coffee and wasn’t even offered creamer. I got some baked goods to go. Monarca Supervisors/Management, please train your people. The food should be served warm… customers shouldn’t be waiting when the place is empty… I’m so dissatisfied.

This is nice coffee place. It's a chain store you will find them everywhere. They have good selection of coffee and breads. Must visit.
I preordered a chocolate cake online for someone's birthday who is very picky. I went to pick up my ordered and was told they didn't have the chocolate cake. I didn't know they don't bake their goods in house. I wouldn't had ordered the cake and i would had went somewhere else if i knew there was a possibility it would be unavailable.

This morning 10/19/24, I visited the Monarca Bakery in Pico Rivera. I visit this establishment frequently for drinks and sometimes pastries.
As I was waiting for my drink to be prepared, I saw employee Wendy blowing her nose as she was touching the tools to prepare my drink. I approached her and told her I had seen her blowing her nose and that it was unsanitary. She responded defensively that she used tissue to blow her nose. I told her that it didn’t matter what she used. She needs to wash her hands. The on-site manager Alexa was witnessing everything and stepped in and offered to prepare my drink. Meanwhile, Wendy went to wash her hands and said, “ There I washed my hands!”She was clearly upset because I spoke up. I told Alexa the on-site manager that instead of getting defensive, Wendy should have apologized and washed her hands immediately without any further remarks.
I went on to express my disappointment with Wendy’s rude and aggressive attitude towards me. Alexa just stood quiet as she prepared my drink. At no point did either employees apologize for their unsanitary practices. Unbelievable!!!
I suggested that if an employee is sick they should not handle food or at least wear a mask when working. Wendy stated she was not sick. I told her it was just a suggestion. Wendy was also the employee who rang me up at the register. Unbelievable what I witnessed today and how the employee reacted! Before I walked out I asked for their names and that’s when I learned that Alexa was the on-site manager.

I thought I found a sweet little place to patronize that was until just a few minutes ago. The district manager had one of the employees throw me out! (metaphorically) The manager on shift tonight and the rest of the staff at this location are absolutely amazing and have been nothing but good to me. Just putting that out there.
I was asked to leave after their district manager accused me ME of trashing the place! Excuse you homegirl? I would never think of doing such a thing, especially not after everyone here no matter what day has been so damned good to me. Now if you're speaking about your restroom there was tissue paper everywhere when I went the other day, I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! I DONT APPRECIATE BEING BLAMED FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT DO NOR WOULD I EVER DO! My parents didn't raise me like that!
Instead of approaching me like a WOMAN you send your manager to do your dirty work! That is absolutely disgusting! In fact the only words you've EVER SAID ME WAS MOVE SO YOU COULD GET TO AN OUTLET! REMEMBER THAT? Unfortunately for you I do. And your tone towards me was rude but I let it go! I easily could've and probably should've reported YOU! But unlike you, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt!
I guess it's easy to blame the black woman who's homeless isn't it? Let me explain it to you ONE TIME! I have more respect for myself and the business and your employees to ever trash your establishment!

I bought a mocha cake for my mothers bday. The service was great and 10/10. They have birthday signs made out of fondant in different colors, I got the red one for my mom. I did ask if the cake was fresh before buying and they informed me since the shop is small, they have the cakes delivered to them from a different location each morning. So i assume cakes are freshly made every day. The cake looked beautiful and was nicely presented with a square flat base. The frosting was delicious and tasted like mocha. The cake/bread did lack flavor and was a bit dry. The mocha cake would taste marvelous if the cake/bread was moist with espresso if prepared similar to a tres leches. 3/5 stars for the cake but 5/5 stars for the service.

I placed an order online from Mexicali for my husband for his birthday and they delivered it to his work. He loved the taste of coffee and strawberry and cream pie. Thank you very much for your help and attention ? ?

The customer service here was poor, the staff was moving slow and lazily. The food is gross unless you like to pay $8 for a small frozen microwaved burrito. The coffee was strange and packed with sugar. Would not recommend.
