My family decided to try this place for a birthday brunch, the place is very well decorated inside but beware, they willl not turn the ac on even if it's 95 degrees plus out. The service is not good at all either, my brother never ended up getting a fork for his food because the waiter never came back. We got desperate for water and ended up just asking a lady that was walking by. The food is the only thing that I can say was really good. I had the mole enchiladas with rice and beans and a sprite that was never refilled. It was very hot and uncomfortable inside. I will not be returning

Too loud , can’t even conversate , lack of utensils , no drink refills , to top it off , the places ac isn’t working on some of the hottest days out of the year .
Only reason they get 2 stars is the food was actually decent .
Just go somewhere else for a birthday gathering

The food was great, however EVERYTHING is a la carte, the menu doesn't specify that. So if they ask you how you want your eggs, assume its a la carte, your beans and rice? A la carte, queso for the table? A la carte, water? Only bottled water is given as an option and it's a plastic bottle. It kinda felt like hidden charges everywhere.

The atmosphere is great and the live Mariachi on Sunday is a plus. However the Menudo I had was the worst, No flavor at all. If you like to drink water with your meal be prepared to buy their bottle water. The hospitality and attention that I am accustomed to experience at Mexican restaurant just wasn’t there.

The place is amazing but we started wrong you won’t get a greeting at the front door we had a party or 12 , our party was a birthday celebration the waitress was only focused on one section on the party, once we got a chance to order it was like she was on a hurry to get us out , I order the Ala Mexican and I wanted my carne medium rare and got well done the side order was too small for 35 dollars this type off places make you feel like you got robbed I won’t come back and definitely won’t recommend it to anyone.

Mexican food might not be my favorite food, but the food here is very good
Drinks are good
But most important THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH!!!
I've been here a few times, I see how the employees work so hard and with passion, the managers are on top, the live music makes you feel you are in Mexico.
The service you get here is typicalll from Mexican restaurants, respect for Mexicans and the way they treat the customers
I wish this restaurant would be closer to downtown or west LA
I'll be back

Food is ok. Food portions are small too. Have had better Mexican food. Service is slow. I mean slow. Beautiful place inside. Mariachi was a plus which we enjoyed as it was my mother's birthday.

This place was really disgusting! There was absolutely no flavor in the salsa and they served a plate with basic guacamole and bits of steak with balls of fat in it and a basket of pork rinds that were really bland for $28 and then the enchiladas didn't have any flavor swamped with flavorless tomato sauce, the tortillas didn't even taste like they were warmed up just wrapped with chunks of store bought ready made shrimp, the beans and rice tasted like they were from a can, and the disgusting amber color glasses looked a a vase, I had to get multiple refills to equal a large soda from McDonald's, their tacos were smothered in oil and stuffed with pork fat, hardly any meat in it... it was by far the worst dining experience I ever had... 🤢🤮

Hello everybody my name is Rolando Mota, let me just start off by saying we had a life changing experience by eating at this restaurant.. To make a long story short , my cousin died because of this restaurants food.
My cousin was highly allergic to onions , we told the waiter for no onions for my cousins meal, and these people didn't listen..
My cousin got really sick and died, we went back to let them know what had happened, and all they told us , half off on our next visit.. These people are so cooled hearted..
Don't eat at this place, the food is garbage and it's not worth wasting your money here.. God bless you all .

We came to Los Amores de Julia to celebrate my mom’s birthday, expecting a memorable experience but unfortunately, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
I brought a small cake for our group of eight, and while the staff kindly stored it for us, we were later shocked to find a $30+ cake-cutting fee on the bill, something that was never disclosed at any point. I’ve dined at countless restaurants across LA, and I’ve never been charged that much for a cake I brought myself, let alone without a heads-up.
We also ordered Margarita flights and were asked to choose from a verbal list of tequilas. Again, no one mentioned that some options would cost more. Transparency should be the standard, especially when you're aiming for an upscale experience.
On top of that, food portions were small and overpriced, and our total came out to over $600, which felt completely unjustified given the service and atmosphere. A 3% charge for using a debit card and an automatic gratuity of nearly $100 were the final straw, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t even busy.
The whole experience felt like one hidden fee after another. Upscale doesn’t mean deceptive. If you’re going to charge premium prices, be upfront. Sadly, I won’t be returning, and I’d caution others to read the fine print and ask questions before dining here.
