This looks like a five-star restaurant but very out of place, it looks very clean very new with the portions we're very disappointing literally five shrimps aguachiles, tested good but not worth 5 shrimps and maybe 5 chopped cucumbers and 0 avocados. Aside from the my octopus that I was really looking forward to came beyond burned to a crisp every bite tasted more like Char and less like octopus, flavor was OK. Kind of underwhelmed to be honest, just wouldn't go back or recommend. The service in the atmosphere was nice.

I came here and thought it would be better but it was not all that. It's not what it's made out to be. Service was great up until the point that we were seated.

š Santo Fish ā Where Pico Rivera Meets the Sea
š 9060 Slauson Ave, Pico Rivera, CA
From the moment you walk into Santo Fish, youāre greeted with a vibe thatās equal parts coastal charm and modern Mexican flair. The ambiance is relaxed but elevatedāthink volcanic stone plates, vibrant cocktails, and a playlist that makes you want to stay for one more round.
š„ Start with the Sea Guacamoleāa creamy, ocean-kissed blend of avocado, shrimp, and octopus that sets the tone for whatās to come. Pair it with their house chips and a mezcal piƱa cocktail (yes, with charred pineapple!) and youāre already winning.
š„ Must-Try Dishes:
Governor Tacos: Sinaloa-style shrimp tacos with sautƩed onions, peppers, and melted Monterrey cheese. Rich, savory, and perfectly balanced.
⢠Pulpo a las Brasas: Charred octopus served on volcanic stone with veggies smoky, tender, and unforgettable.
⢠Aguachile en Salsa Morena: A bold, spicy shrimp ceviche marinated in dark sauce and chiltepin. Itās got kick, depth, and a flavor that lingers in the best way.
š± Vegan Options: Surprisingly thoughtful! The Cauliflower Spice Ceviche and Jamaica Flower Tacos are flavorful enough to make even seafood lovers pause.
š¬ Service: Attentive and knowledgeable. Gabby, in particular, knows the menu inside out and makes stellar recommendations.
šø Price Point: Slightly upscale for Pico Rivera, but the quality and creativity justify it. Portions lean gourmet, not gut-bustingperfect for savoring.
šÆ Final Take: Santo Fish isnāt just a seafood spotāitās a culinary experience that blends tradition with innovation. Whether youāre a ceviche connoisseur or just craving something fresh and bold, this place delivers.

Food was delicious, cooked perfectly and the seafood was fresh and high quality. The service was very attentive even though the place was full. Music wasn't too loud, we didn't have to yell at each other to have a conversation. The place was very clean and a fun environment all around. I'm definitely adding it to my list of regular visits. Parking can be a bit crowded, but plenty of safe street parking just behind the restaurant.

The fish was not good it was very burned weād ordered 4 lbs the taste was terrible it was a waste of money thankfully we ordered a steak to share which was very good. The chips are stale the atmosphere was very loud we couldnāt have a conversation because we couldnāt hear eachother. It echoed a lot and a lot of people where shouting and then there was a person playing the guitar singing loudly.there was a person selling flowers and a person going to each table to take pictures for money. The waitress never asked us if we wanted anything else to drink.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food was very good, the drinks were even better. I had been here before but when it was a Mexican food restaurant. I had the cevice, my date had a big fish and liked it very much. The service was a little lax but then there was a lot of people. It was a little pricey.

Food is not what I expected. The Sarandeado fish looked good but it was flavorless. The service was nonexistent. After waiting outside the restaurant for 45 minutes to be seated, we had to wait for another 35 minutes. Once we were seated, no waitress was interested in coming over to our table. I had to walk to the front and ask the manager to send somebody and even after that, no one came. The manager had to come over and take our order. It seems to me that they donāt have a system in place to wait on people or they just donāt care.
There was 7 of us, 5 adults and two toddlers. We ordered 2 Sarandeado fishes, 3 shrimp dishes, 2 alcohol beverages, 3 aguas frescas, 3 sodas and guacamole and chips. It was $335 dollars. It was way too pricey for what we had. One of my daughters found a fly in her rice (they replaced the whole dish, I have to say) but my other daughter and my son in law didnāt eat the Sarandeado fish because according to them, it didnāt taste as good as the one I make. If you decide to try this place, I hope you have a better experience than we did. We definitely are not going back.
